First time out of the vault
You've been shot on the lung by a hollow point bullet, you know your dying, the only person there is your most trusted friend, what do you tell him?

For me it would be "take my gun and kill the guy who dunnit"
 
What has this to do with New Vegas?
Also, you do realize that death is a lot more awful and not like the cinema tells you? People in real life just die, you know, mostly without uttering any heroic phrase before they leave this world.

Especially when shot in the lung by a bullet, makes it hard to talk... or breath. :V

I believe that the premise of this discussion is that you are able to and intend to have some last words. Does it happen in real life like a Hollywood movie everyday? No. But then again this is about what would happen if you did.

Though I agree on what this has to do with Fallout, is it the last words of our character? In which case it would be, "The Enclave is not dead" or "Fuck you NCR"; of course my best characters best friend is ED-E so nothing much would come of it.
 
Yeah, I don't see much Fallout exclusiveness here.

Otherwise, my last words in such a situation, assuming I'd get some can be summed up as "Oh shit I'm really bleeding, oh God why won't it stop?" Though it would probably come out as "GURGLE GURGLE GURGLE"

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

Y'know, if the shot wasn't to the lung and all.

The companions in this game sometimes remind me of Leeroy Jenkins from that youtube video.

Or something more realistic like "SHIT!!"
 
Like the others mentioned, it will be next to impossible to talk with a hole in your lung. But, if my character did manage to utter something, I'm gonna say this:

@Cass: Gimme some whiskey..
