When and where did you played your first video games, and what game is it?
For me i can still remember playing doom 1 inside my father's office with one of those computers he built, around 5 or 6 years old maybe.
Also I remember my mother become very angry after that because news back there always say violence video games make children bad.
My first memories are of my Aunt and Uncle playing Legend of Zelda, and them letting me play the Super Mario/Duck Hunt two-in-one. I was hooked. My Dad bought a beat-up NES at one of his car auctions with Q-Bert, thinking I would love it, but Q-Bert was a little too hard for me at that age, which was around 3 or 4 I believe, so I grew tired of it. Back then it was take what you can get. Most of the NES games I played as a child are shit. Here are the ones I actually owned on NES for shits and giggles. I would have been playing these games from the age of 3 to 6 years old:

I am not sure but this might be one of the first games I ever beat. I watched my Mom beat 3 before I was even able to play it, because she was hogging that shit.
Yoshi and Dr. Mario were my first puzzle games, although I did not own Dr. Mario.
I watched my mom play this game all night as a kid. It's a really fond memory I have. Released in December 1987 here in the US, so the time frame lines up with my barely formed memory. It just shows how much video games impacted my life at a young age. I mean I was 4 years old, but I have that single 1 minute reel of memory tucked way back in there, with the corresponding music and setting.
BUT! Memory being the way it is I cannot recall with perfect clarity those early gaming years. I do not remember when the NES left the house and went to my grandmas, or how long the SNES and the NES were used together. Usually my parents being parents I could only have one system at a time so the extra would be sold with all the games. AHH! My cousin got the NES since he was poorer than we were and all he had was a Gameboy. Not sure what year. Anyway, here are some of the games I rented and recall playing on the actual console in the glory days, not these newfangled emulators that ruin all the challenge and thrill:
I have a really funny story about this game but I won't tell it...
I pretty much played all of the classic NES games as a kid, but in short bursts, since I had to rent them. This means I played Metroid, Kid Icarus, Mega Man, and all the rest, but rarely beat them.
BONUS POINTS: I won't delve into SNES since it is not my earliest memories but this is one of the few SNES games I rented, since by that age I usually had my parents buy me games that took longer to beat so I could play them longer. That way they would not bitch when I wanted a new one.
I remember playing Jet Set Willy at my uncle's house when I was four. We actually had the exact same computer at home, and most of the exact same games, but I specifically remember playing it at his house. Brookside (now defunct UK soap opera) was on the telly, and my parents insisted we were going home when it finished. I tried my very hardest to stay, and carry on playing Jet Set Willy, even though I could have played it at home, but I lost and did, in fact, go home after Brookside.
First digital game I played. Somewhere around '86 and '88 I think. It was my sisters game, but she didn't like it so I got it. We used to have competitions over who'll last longer.
I still have it somewhere (or, I don't remember tossing it away).
One of my old TVs came with these awful little minigames you played with the buttons on the side. One of them was a space invader clone. I don't know if I'd really count that though, so I guess Dig Dug is the other earliest game I remember playing. Didn't play a game for years until I got a PSP for Christmas.
Jet Pac on my brother's ZX Spectrum.
I was really into space at the time and when I saw this game in which you played an astronaut that had to gather pieces of a spaceship to put it together and then fuel tanks to fuel it up while having to avoid asteroids and aliens or shoot them with a laser I was completely sold to it.
I think I played several ZX Spectrum games afterwards but I think I really got into gaming when we got a MSX2 computer (my dad wanted to use it for financial administration but I ended up spending most time on it playing games) and when the kids of the neighbors got a NES with Super Mario Bros.
Then a couple of years later I got a Sega Master System (I should have gone for a Megadrive, it was already released, D'oh) and my cousin bought an Amiga.
When I spoke about the subject with my brothers years ago he cursed himself for ever showing me games because it would shape my life a lot.
I was very addicted to gaming for a long time to the point that it may have been to much for my family.
But I grew up in a time that video games were really taking off. I played platformers most of the time but imagine if it had been RPGs.
We were loaded until I was about six, and then we were poor. So I had the computer, but couldn't afford any games for it. If I wanted to play something, I had to write it myself. I could have ended up a game addict too, but instead I ended up something even worse - a programmer.
My earliest memory about gaming is kinda fuzzy. Might be playing Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku or Battle City on NES with my cousins.
For PC gaming, it's Lemmings (never passed though more than a couple of first stages because I suck at puzzle games), D/Generation (the first game I finished on my own), and a 3D(?) tank game in first person view that I can't remember the name.
An Edutainment game called "Luis al Rescate" (Luis to the rescue), it was pretty basic, logic puzzles for kids, point and click adventure. It was the first time I ever played a game, I must have been like 5 years old.
