Fallout 4 dialogue>Fallout 1 dialogue

That guy has only one voice, and his choice for Aradesh is making it a gay caricature with a lisp? Wow, great voice actor you get there bethesda....

Well he isn't seeing the game itself, all he's doing is reading a printed off a script. And it is just a podcast so he's just fucking around not taking it too seriously. Its not funny, but he's still just joking around.

They didn't even try the "Tell me about" nor did they go with the later dialogue options to show "how it has more work on it".

Maybe because if they actually showed those it would be aparent that the voice acting has added nothing and just removed a lot?

This really pisses me off. Is this even a joke? Do they actually think that Fallout 4's dialogue is better? I can't say because I haven't played the game, but from the short amount that we've gotten it's been pretty bad.

I swear to jebus if this game only has three fucking voice actors like Oblivion did because they spent their entire voice acting budget on recording all the protagonist's lines (twice! for the female player) I'm going to be so mad.

I don't need to hear the protagonist say the lines. I can imagine them in my own voice. It's a completely unnecessary addition.

Agreed. Why have voice acting anyway if you use the same three people? Pointless. Hearing the same guy voice every character is totally immersive bro!

The worse part is that those voices' acting is extremely cartoony. Just listen to the Old lady voice, you almost expect every old lady to start screaming "RAISINS!" and feel the smell of cat urine as soon as they start talking.

The old lady voices are pretty awful. The one in Fallout 3 that played the music was bad I think.

And the old man voice. Every single old man had that voice with the exception of Tenpenny I swear.

There are a few more exceptions, but I doubt you would care enough to know who they are. Whenever I heard that voice, my ears were bleeding.

I know they're just joking around, but it feels a little offensive making fun of the work of the original developers.

I'm not really a fan of classic Doctor Who, but if I became the showrunner I wouldn't start off by saying, "lol, old Doctor Who looked so cheap, our stuff is so much better because it's NEW!"

Well Bethesda has no respect for the original Fallout, so this attitude is not surprising.

This also happened to the Thief series. The only time the word taffer is mentioned in the reboot is when somebody comments on how it "sounds stupid" and we're instead treated to conversations which seem to have been written by a 12 year old who just discovered swearing.

But I've never been one to complain about the voice acting in Bethesda games quality-wise, because I don't really care how the characters sound. It's just a shame that voice acting became such an important factor. You're likely to skip over half of it anyway because you'll read the subtitle before the character is finished talking. It's like taking a big chunk of your budget and setting it on fire.

"As a matter of fact, I never saw one line before I was standing in the booth, ready to record."

You don't say?

Don't be ridiculous. It's not going to have ONLY 3 voices...

It will have 7.

Don't worry, if one thing is for sure, the people of the future will do the same to THEIR work once they pick it up :V

Like once the EAUBISOFTSTARBlizzard entertainment company in 2050 gets their hands on it making comments about the shitty dialogue beeing so shitty because it's not fused directly to your brain via waves
