How do you feel about mutants?

Should they be cleansed from the wastes? Are they even human anymore? Should they be allowed into our cities?
 
Mutants are mutated. That's about as far as my opinion goes.

They needn't be cleansed.
They are no longer human.
And they can be pretty cool people so why not let them into our cities? What do I look like a VC'er?
 
The mutants are an entirely new species of sentient life but that does not mean that they should not be treated with appropriate dignity. They do not need to be cleansed and should be allowed into cities as long as they follow the law and do not cause havoc. This only applies to West Coast mutants though.

The West Coast mutants are more nuanced and are trying to recover from being soldiers serving a mad cause. They deserve a chance to be rehabilitated and reintegrated into post-apocalyptic society or be left in peace.

As for East Coast mutants (or more appropriately orcs), they ought to be slaughtered or retconned out of canon.
 
What is a mutant in Fallout? Everybody is one, except for people who live in sealed vault. Should the citizens of the Hub or Junktown banish themselves from their own house for being mutants?
 
Well they really should't actually be that many of them if you look at the orginal lore

I think a lot of fans would be happier if somebody just decided to start back from 2 and NV and then build FO3 and 4 from the ground up. Bethesda doesn't even care enough to keep it's lore consistent within its own sequels. Seriously, the Mutants in Fallout 4 gave me a brain aneurysm. They didn't even have the good grace to say they came up from the capital wasteland or anything that might've actually made more sense than the Institute.

If Bethesda said Aliens did it, it'd pretty much be par for the course.

"How does building fly" I admit with Strong I love his blind ignorance at times, but "someday super mutants kill everything" is like the only thing he says in settlements. It got so annoying I never had him at my main base.
 
Well according to the Enclave anyone born in the radioactive wastelands is a mutant so...

With actual Harold or Marcus-type mutants? As long as they don't try to murder me I don't think I'd have a problem with them. Might be a little disconcerting speaking to someone who's arm or nose is falling off though.
