I've been playing bass since I was 16, recently made the jump to upright bass. she's a custom job outfitted with a K&K rockabilly pickup.

Used to play drums in this band:

We're currently on indefinite break and haven't played together in 1½ years, because of time issues.
Haven't touched a drum kit since then, but might find something else when I finish up my master's thesis in a couple of months.

You guys sound rad, its a shame you split. You sound like Reagan Youth meets Motorhead.

Thanks, that was pretty much exactly what we were going for :P

Oh yeah, I used to play in a band (fuck, that was almost ten years ago o_O).
There are still two songs from our EP here. Holy shit that's some cringey stuff.
I'm planning on getting more into writing music now, which is one reason why I started with cello. Wanted to have a different perspective on music, gain more theoretical knowledge and generally broaden my approach. Now if I wasn't a supremely lazy fuck...

The tunes weren't that bad, definitely of their time.

I play bass but not often.
I also make music in garageband, I've done about 150.tracks over the last 7 years, may stick them on YouTube at some point in the near future.

That hair. Also that name.

Edit: Some of my homerecorded shit is still up on soundcloud. I didn't own a bass while I made most of these so I had to improvise with a guitar. Drums were either made via cut-and-paste or by using my shitty keyboard as a midi controller for the later stuff. I used to record guitars with a microphone until I bought a Fender Mustang 1 (modelling) amp with USB output. My "proper" amp is a Fender 59 Bassman Reissue. I also have a Fender tube reverb ('90s reissue) for that drippy surf sound and thunder-on-demand when I kick it. My main guitar is a Gretsch G5129 and I have a couple of Squiers (Classic Vibe Telecaster, J. Mascis Jazzmaster and a Vintage Modified Jaguar that is closer to "the real thing" than most Fender reissues today).
I used to play in a Rockabilly band but I just don't have the time nowadays.

Sounds killer, duder.

Sitting down to learn PsyOpus' Guitar Torture Piece of Madness Imogen's Puzzle Pt. 2. Pt. 1 hurts my brain too much.

My pinky already hurts, it's not used to tapping.
