Fallout 2 Tweaks, no scoped accuracy reduction, is reducing total accuracy?

I installed only the 'no scope recuction' part, which apparently is supposed to remove the debuff to accuracy from the scoped hunting rifle, but seemingly it's just removed the scoped bonus entirely, so its just like a normal hunting rifle.

Is this normal? Or am I missing something?

Normally I could get like 90% at long range, but now its like 40%.

It swaps "weapon_scope_range" perk for "weapon_long_range", and increases rifle distance from 40 to 45. I think if your perception is too low, on long ranges it can reduce chance to hit faster.

That's probably it! ;D

IIRC the 'weapon scope range' perk is more powerful, but has the range debuff up close, right?

Weapon Long Range is still pretty good though, thanks for explaining.

I need to get better skills ingame. DX

More or less powerful, depends on the actual range of the weapon. Long range is what sniper rifle has.

Scope Range

Those links suggest that scoped has a 50% bonus over 'long range'.

I kinda liked the idea of close stuff making accuracy worse with a scope, but 5 hexes is pushing it IMO.

1-2 hexes would be cool, maybe 3, that's 'close' IMO.

I wish we could scope the assault rifle, fal, etc.
