Travel California/Boston

Water Chip? Been There, Done That
I was thinking here. How long do you think Kellogg took to get to Boston? He lived in ... NCR? If I remember correctly?

Can this trip be made by the sea? (I'm not native to the US, I do not know territory and routes)

Considering motorbikes and cars involved, 6 mounths is a good time?

I mean, given that there's an entire continent blocking the two oceans, no.

Not sure about Motorbikes, but according to Google Maps:

It takes roughly 975 Hours(Or 40 days) to get cross continent by foot, or 45 Hours(Almost 2 days) to get there in your average car.

Of course, this assumes continuous travel. IRL you'd need to stop and sleep, and find food, ect., so it'd probably take a lot longer.

Also, given that roads may have worn out over time, or paths may have become blocked without regular maintenance, and you may prefer routes which go through safe/civilised territory to territories with lots of Raiders, or ruled over by unstable despots, so I think it's fair to assume the route would be less direct than that.

Distance between Los Angeles and Boston is about 3000 miles or almost 5000 km. If had a car you could probably do that in a week or so in modern days. Adding the need to scavenge and the general conditions of the wasteland, I think a month sounds reasonable.
To go by sea is not feasible since you'd have to sail all around South America or Canada.
On foot you probably should plan to take the better part of a year to do the trip.

1 month in normal conditions.

So I guess 3 to 4 months is a reasonable time in the Fallout universe.

That's all I wanted to know. Thank you friends.

With a car in normal conditions you could do it in like a week or so with breaks, sleep, and low american speed limits. In the rough conditions of Fallout I'd estimate a month or two. Three or four is also reasonable, but it's also really slow for a car. It's like 40 km per day on average, really bad. You could easily do that on a bicycle, even.
