Examples of retarded Fallout 76 weapons

Listing a couple here to start the thread, as the caught my eye the most.

Firstly, the Gatling gun.

Firstly the weapon would be exceedingly rare even unmodified for human use, the fact that enemies randomly spawn with this thing is ridiculous. It'd be like multiple of Lincolns Repeater spawning in FO3.

Secondly the bullets it fires, historically they fired all kinds of munitions but they sure as hell didn't fire the fictional Fallout 5mm round, meaning this was a custom retooling of several barrels and internal mechanisms, a modern day machine shop would be annoyed to do such work, yet alone postwar humans.

Lastly the thing would be so incomprehensibly heavy that no human could carry it, even retard strength fallout humans, it'd weigh MORE than the already heavy 5mm miniguns in the games.

I guess the gun runners could do it, but WHY? For the effort involved in defiling a historical piece, you could've made 6 assault rifles.

Secondly, the "Light Machine Gun".

Literally a MG42...For some reason...Couldn't they at least 'falloutified' it?

Now irony aside that post-nuclear holocaust humans are running around using literal Nazi weapons, it has issues.

Firstly, again the rarity, how fucking many of these things are in America alone? Then tone it down to a single tiny map of FO76 and there'd be...One? Maybe? On a good day? These things are valuable as hell.

Secondly, again the god damned cartridge it fires, 8mm Mauser isn't in the game so it fires .308.

This one makes some sense as in real life the MG3 (modernized MG42) fires such a round, but the 'split' happened far before the MG3 existed and it seems fallout Germans replaced the MG3 with the LMG11.

But what really bothers me is that there's no modifications for it! Or barely any at least, why make such an iconic weapon, then force players to use a bog stock version of it? Just weird.

I thought the weapons in 76 were a step up from 4, at the very least. A lot more real and normal looking weapons compared to the Minecraft Modpack level of nonsense block-guns in 4.

I mean I just posted two that are pretty outrageous! ;D

Most of the Fallout 4 garbage ended up in 76 too.

And a lot of the added ones are just literal cold war era weapons, like the M79 grenade launcher, at least New Vegas gave it a vague name.

Annnnnnd for some reason people are running around with black powder rifles and pirate guns...Why!?

Look, a lot of casuals want their Call of Duty guns in Fallout. What do you think is the most popular mods right now for New Vegas and Fallout 4? It's guns from Call of Duty! Call of Duty and Fallout, what a great mix for a RPG!
:flameon:

They could've at least added the crazy prototype weapons of the cold war...Like Fo2 did. XD

Does anyone actually still own the copyright to HK CAWS?

euch. why does that sound like something todd howard would actually be interested in
Because it is. Todd Howard has admitted in past interviews that he wanted to take Fallout into the same direction as Call of Duty. It seems like that is what his idiots fans also want too.

Literally a MG42...For some reason
MG3.

You wanna see dumb? You wanna see stupid. You wanna see retarded? It might not have started in 76 but it is shit none the less.

This fucking Chimera of an abomination was designed by the finest no guns Bethesda could find. The jacket around the barrel implies it is water cooled since it has a plug and drain hose on it(it could be a fucking gas line which is the dumbest), but the back radiator means it is air cooled, both would be pointless since it fires from 20 box magazines and wouldn't have the the sustained fire rate to constitute either of those things. all those involved should be road hauled through a cactus patch.

I don't actually think the MG3 is that out of place for Fallout. Unless it was posed as a weapon in active usage by the US Millitary by 2077, in which case yeah.

Some People think the AR-15 is out of place. Some think The H&K G11 is just to new to be in FO2. despite being in development since the 60's. The entire Fallout series has been really schizo when it comes to real world guns. then they have things like the OG assault rifle from FO1 were they can't decide if it is an Colt Rifle or an AK.
