    I wonder if this would've been better if it kept the turn based combat. Combat in town would be restricted, but once you travel outside and get an encounter, combat would be the same as in Fallout.

    yeah... I'm going to wait for the next build before I try to play seriously because this is basically unplayable. Fallout 1 and 2 are hardcore RPGs, but not this bad. This is pretty much not user friendly.

    sigh.. Found myself a nice ak-47 rifle and a combat armor. Then a few steps outside I encounter 4 dogs. Lag kicks in I get hit non stop and my guy just rubber bands around. I die and lose EVERYTHING. Gaaaaah!

    Most of your suggestions don't make sense. It's like you're saying that they will reuse the old Fallout engine. It's a completely new game, and OBVIOUSLY they'll add current gen features seen in recent MMOs.

    It's obvious most people will have an alt with those perfect stats so they can craft hardcore. The craft menu is nice though. You should add categories for gun types, ammo, drugs, materials, etc.

    For me, personally, it's the Oblivion engine (Gamebrio?) that breaks thhis game I HATE IT !!! I don't like the way it looks or moves for an FPS/RPG game. Really can't stand it.

    Re-creating Fallout 1?

    As suggested, just revamp the world map traveling with the same type of random encounters. That would be much better than walking in boring, dull wasteland like Fallout 3. Also, by skipping on all the wasted space in between , they can put more work in each of Fallout 1's areas.
