    Chris Avellone leaves Obsidian

I asked if Fargo was doing anything with the Van Buren trademark. “Not yet,” he replied. “But there were some things, some ideas, that Chris Avellone had for doing something that made the post-apoc – a twist on the whole what-was-being-done that we really loved. So we talked about it and we...

Fargo says Meantime, Van Buren trademarks not part of what's up next

I would imagine that whatever he makes would be from an IP that he controls, so the "obvious choice" would probably be a Bards Tale sequel (in terms of recognition at least). Then there is Dragon Wars as was mentioned (which i really liked back in the day). But yes, something "different"...

Wasteland 2 gets last beta update

Their update (the one i got in the mail anyway) says : "Before we get into the fun stuff, a quick note on the release date. It’s pretty likely that we will slip into the first or second week in September due to fulfillment of the physical goods and discs. We will give an exact date as...

Wasteland 2 interview, HD video, F3/NV OSTs on iTunes

I'd say that the biggest difference is that there is no publisher breathing down their necks demanding to see "milestone builds" at regular intervals, etc. This frees the developer up to do things in the order they want, with minimal interference and frantic "scrambling" as a deadline gets...

Liam Neeson's Role Gets Homeland Recognition

yeah, i corrected my post to 11 mill (originally 12) before i saw your post :D Its very approximate values, i just looked at our currency exhange values for today for a rough calculation. I get one dollar for 5.71, but have to pay 7.90 for an euro.

Liam Neeson's Role Gets Homeland Recognition

One American Dollar is worth about 0.7 or so Euro, so 15 mill dollars would be approximately 11 million euro or thereabouts (meaning a bigger piece of the "budget cake" would go to Neeson, leaving less for..well.. everything else).

    Fallout 3 at E3 - RPGamer Q&A

A better question would perhaps be why a ticket collecting robot is decked out as Robocop's ED 209. They must have had an awful lot of trouble collecting those tickets back then :)

    Fallout 3 at E3 - NeoGAF Q&A

Of course they're not dead.. they merely...ehm... migrated to the east along with the super mutants (and seemingly every other faction).. I can really see it now.. a colonisation effort much along the same lines as your average western movie, just in the opposite direction.. with mutants, BoS...

    Bethesda off to E3

I thought the answer to that to be obvious, if you dont bow down, worship the ground Bethesda walks on, then writes a glowing (no pun intended) preview to feed their hype machine.. then they cant use you :)
