How about fixing the bugs and stuff with NV first, and then focusing on making DLC's? :?

Note that the junk barrier looks quite strong as it is, besides, some of the defense systems used by Mr. House to counter the nukes are still active, and with an impending war the resources should be given priority to fabricate military hardware, on my opinion. And about the Fallout...

At least that way you can search the Deathclaw, I found it very annoying when I was finally going to get a hand to make the Gauntlet and then BOOM away he goes... Always made me laugh though, not all is bad :)
