Persona 5 has a consistency issue because it tries to tackle serious topics in japanese media and society while also endulging in them with no self awareness.

An example with no anime girls you like I will give you is an Anti war game having an MP mode with kill streaks.

Your war game analogy is flawed, because a MP in any game will put Gameplay > everything else. The single-bearer has no bearing on the MP experince.
