My favorite manga has consistency issues, 20th centry boys. Some of the inconsistency is intentional by the end but it's still there. 10/10 manga none the less.

Berserk by the way is a master piece. A master peice where a character is introduced as being a masochist that masturbated to the sounds of people burning to death and then implies has a sexual fixation with fire.... and then has her as shy and working through her crush with the main character. We can point out funny things in things we like. Not everything needs a justification. They are writen by humans.
