    Van Buren screenies

Yes, that was an error and of course the pre-alpha demo was not finished. You could play the simple mission, go to both maps and fire your gun. Basically showed the combat and scripting system. That version only had the real time combat option. We hadn't gotten the turn based version in yet...

    Van Buren screenies

For those that don't think they look too great, please realize this was a tech demo. The art and textures were temporary in most cases. We still had alot of work to do. Our primary focus was getting the combat and scripting system working. And for you trivial buffs, I did the outdoor map...

    Fallout wallpapers

Ok, will convert it to JPG but it will still be huge. I did the others in a very high quality mode but since this is so high res I can probably knock the quality down alittle bit and it won't make much difference. Yeah, I still need to do the profile. Damien has pestered me about it. I...

    Fallout wallpapers

Glad you guys like them. Had them in my personal archives and thought it was time to finally share them with the world. :) The "walks off" one I have in a hugely huge file! As I remember that was rendered for a proposed one page ad that never was done. So the 1600 version was cropped at...

    IPLY can finish BG3

Most everyone is gone that worked on BG3. Most of the team moved on to Fallout 3 when BG3 was cancelled. And then most were laid off when Fallout 3 was cancelled. A lot of people would have to be hired to start it up. Mostly new people since most of the original team have new jobs. It...

    New Arroyo mod

Nice job there! I did most of the original Arroyo and Vault City maps in Fallout 2 and I'm very impressed with the clever use of those tiles. They weren't really designed to work together and these guys did a great job of combining them. Good use of rocks and trees to cover the seams. :)

    Pay-Pal Sean..

Hey, I just pulled my original copy of the game off the shelf and you are right! I completely forgot about that quote on the inside flap! Chant with me everyone! "PC Games Bad, Console Games Good!" I figure if I say it enough I might start believing it!

    Pay-Pal Sean..

As I said earlier, its just not going to work to try to send money to Interplay in hopes they will finish the game. The team is gone. There's no point. They laid off most of the programmers that knew the engine. So trying to bring in new people would be difficult. Plus trying to find a...

    Pay-Pal Sean..

I think another issue that should be addressed is that most of the team is gone and either at a new job or still looking. Even if Interplay for some reason resurrected the title, they'd have to get a whole new team, or most of a new team at least. Last year saw alot of BIS people disappear...

Feargie talks about Console vs PC

You are right that not everyone needs a kit. But each programmer needs one for sure and most of the designers need them too. And you would probably have a least part of your art group have them. And don't forget cross platform development. You'd need PS/2 & Xbox development kits, not as many...

Feargie talks about Console vs PC

Feargus is quite right on the numbers. You have to remember, you are not buying just one development system for each project. You have to buy 10-30 depending on the team size. That's a big chunk of change on top of a PC system for each.

Interplay annual meeting; Caen is happy

Good question and probably alittle of all of the above.

    More on Fallout license

I've talked to several of my friends I worked with on Fallout 3 and no one knows anything about it. I think it's wishful thinking currently. But with the huge net backlash over this I can imagine many companies are taking notice and contacting IP about it. But that's pure...
