Scott Everts (former Black Isle dev, now at Obsidian)was kind enough to grant us some well known Fallout wallpaper images in high resolutions, ranging from 1280x960 -> 1600x1200. Here they are:<blockquote><center>

What intersts me is that 2nd one with the plane. It certainly shows that the 200/1 car ratio might not be as far off as some people think if the install screen from FO has a plane........
 
You know psycho sniper, that thing on that drawing always seemed eerily similar to a vertibird to me, tough it's from the first game, and not the second.

Also, it's a sad sign of times that my resolution is too small to fit these wallpapers without shrinking.
 
Hmmm, seems the only ones I can save are the thumbnails. I don't even get a "set as background" option on the big ones. What am I missing?

erm..you did remember to wait untill it's fully loaded right ?
 
Hmmm. Thought it was fully loaded though I was apparently wrong. For some reason, all NMA pages are loading slowly for me today.
 
Those are awesome :)

I've always wanted the third one :) Not sure why, but it was always one of my favorite pics from Fallout.

Even more now 'cause I have waited SO long for the "Walks off into the Wasteland" wallpaper...Thank You!

The "walks off" one I have in a hugely huge file! As I remember that was rendered for a proposed one page ad that never was done. So the 1600 version was cropped at the top and reduced greatly.

Do send it over if you have it and erm..*caughWHATABOUTTHEFALLOUTDEVPROFILEcaugh*.. And I thought that sending Puuk over to manhandle you would do the trick..
 
could you post the original (upload it to Odin so he can put it on the downloads list)

would be kinda sweet. if it's as detailed as you say, people could maybe print it out as a poster (especially people that live near universities, they have a load of high quality printshops there usually. (search for the ones used by architects ;) ))
 
I find the PA one to work best as desktop wallpaper because I tend to have half my screen full of stuff and the other pics are full-screen content.

Anyway. The descriptions need to be fixed. Some read "Chosen One" where they should read "Vault Dweller". It was definitely not the CO wandering off in his blue jumpsuit (time to play Fallout again!).
