Funny and Stark Example of Beth's Laziness...

You find a note in some subway... maybe around Tenpenny Tower... that gives you a mission to deliver a package. First you have to find the package in the sewers where it is hidden in a safe. Once you open the safe, the only item is naughty nightwear. Kind of interesting. Anyway, the second...

Funny and Stark Example of Beth's Laziness...

The Girdershade Naughty Nightware Quest Spoiler Alert: You'll be disappointed. A small quest that seemed to have some potential for humor or something... anything. This quest is an example of what I have against Fallout 3. Bethesda seems to have a very unimaginative staff. PetrolMan

    Students of Fallout

What he writes about is basically the reaction I had to the first 10-15 hours of gameplay. The game is novel at first but then slowly the realization creeps in that you are doing the same things over and over. Even worse is how rushed the main quest feels. Oh well. PetrolMan

Interesting Article Not sure if this has been posted before. If it has, my apologies. http://www.brainygamer.com/the_brainy_gamer/2008/10/fallout-3.html

    Impressions thread for positive impressions

The voice acting has never really bothered me too much. It's not great but I tend to ignore it for the most part anyway because it's too slow. I probably wouldn't miss it all that much except for a few characters, mainly Eden. There have been moments where the implementation of the voice...

This isn't really a complaint but I think its a bit strange that there are so many beds you can share with corpses.

    Set death anims vs Ragdolling

I had a nice Super Mutant kill where they did exactly what you would expect. I shot the mutant in the chest and he died, turned halfway around and slumped over a banister. Kind of nice. This is of course balanced by the ridiculous deaths like the anti-gravity critical. My favorite so far...

Funny and Stark Example of Beth's Laziness...

I had never thought of this but even FO/FO2 had NPC reactions in battle. The little popups were often pretty funny. I wish Bethesda had told whoever spent the time looking up facial hair (and they all look the same for the most part - what a waste of time) to come up with some battle lines...

My Two Cents - An Overly Long Comparison Piece

Beating a Dead Horse I reached level 20 not too long ago and I have yet to come across a challenging enemy. There were moments early in the game that I really enjoyed because I couldn't just run up to a group of raiders and play John Rambo. I had to use cover and let them come after me in order...

My Two Cents - An Overly Long Comparison Piece

Another Thing... Speaking of pacing, I've already reached level 20 in the game and that is kind of disappointing. The leveling is simply way to quick.

My Two Cents - An Overly Long Comparison Piece

A quick introduction. I have played Fallout 1 and 2. I actually just started a Fallout 1 character shortly before 3 came out. I also enjoy Fallout 3. A lot. It's one of the better games I've played recently. And I know there are a countless numbers of "What's Wrong with Fallout 3" threads but...
