    Fallout 76: E3 Trailer

Welp, so much for Bethesda going into the right direction with Far Harbor, which was their best effort regarding Fallout to my mind, though I enjoyed 4 as well (In contrast to 3, which was a horribly grey, dull and aggravating amalgamation of FO1/2 plot points). I don't really know what to...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

I agree that Bethsoft can't make either a great cRPG nor a great Fallout title (Or at least, one that is as rich and well-written as 1, 2 or NV). And naturally, one can discuss the flaws and merits of their games, no disagreement here :) I'm with you that just because FO4 is a Beth game we...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

Perhaps we have to agree to disagree ^^ Though I'll say whilst I expected an RPG, I did not expect Fallout as I knew it. I did that with FO3 and was badly burnt. And to my mind, I rather play a good aRPG that is falsely named than a cRPG that's not only falsely named but beat to shreds by FO1, 2...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

In that light, Witcher 3 is also a lesser RPG because you have a set PC with a voice and a somewhat set story due to it being a book adaptation. Heck, Mass Effect also had a voiced protagonist and in terms of CnC it blows FO4 out of the water. Not to mention that any game will always have...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

FO3 is certainly a (much) better RPG than FO4, there's not a sliver of doubt about that :) My issue with it however is simply that: Pretty much everything it does has been done better by Fallouts that pre- (1,2) as well as succeeded it (New Vegas), whereas FO4 has elements that other aRPGs do...

Can we honestly say Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 3?

To my mind, yes, Fallout 4 is far, far better than 'FO3' Yes, less of an RPG, and not exactly the worthy successor of Fo1 and 2 one might expect after being treated with NV from Obsidian- But as it stands, I find myself still logging in the odd hour of play here and there after 90 hours whereas...

Fallout 3 concept artist Adam Adamowicz passed away

Cancer sucks balls, that disease should be nuked from Orbit. RIP.

    Old World Blues trailer

Wow, this is the first time I actually want to spend some cash on a Fallout DLC. New Vegas was almost sickeningly gloomy at times, so I welcome some lightheartedness with open arms.

Obsidian hit with another round of layoffs

Haha, well, I fully expected to hate it after that awfully bland introduction and the setting itself, but being able to sneak and melee in a game quite similar to ME makes me a very happy man :) Hopefully all the laid off will find a new (and satisfactory) job for their hard work.

Obsidian hit with another round of layoffs

That's really awful to hear...especially as I'm currently enjoying Alpha Protocol, and loved the hell out of New Vegas despite the bugs...

Fallout: New Vegas developer quotes round-up

Well, you can skip dialogue any time you wish, and get to the point very quickly by not delving into discussions (Mainly options from the right-hand side). plus, regardless of their shortcomings, they do write some interesting characters that stay with the player.

Fallout: New Vegas developer quotes round-up

I have to agree that, while the writing is generally better than in FO3, there are rather few characters I actually cared for so far, minus of course the excellently hilarious robot dialogues and the Goodsprings residents (And that only because they were so charmingly "Western"). Maybe...

Fallout: New Vegas DLC announced - Dead Money

One has to consider though how development costs rose since 3D became more sophisticated (Well, not a much with Bethesda's rendition of the Gamebryo engine :P), whilst video game prices remained virtually the same. They have to take that cash from somewhere. As for me, I'd rather pay a tad...

Fallout: New Vegas DLC announced - Dead Money

Given that I lost interest in New Vegas around 31 hours in, I don't care either way about this DLC.

The Vault is monstrous, and other stuff

Still, the accessible and believable game world, the tangible conflict and the atmosphere generated by the ambience music and Western setting still separates it miles apart from silly Greybore 3.

NMA Fallout: New Vegas Impression Piece

Played the game 3 hours each days since I got it on Friday (Which is a lot for my standards) and have not been hooked to a game this strongly since ME2- and New Vegas might just overthrow it as my GOTY 2010, which is largely due to the open and believable game world, ie: No fucking Metro...

Fallout: New Vegas' bugs due to its size

I have been burned by Oblivion and FO3 already, I'll never buy a localized game again :D

Fallout: New Vegas' bugs due to its size

I'm not disagreeing with you. While I only really had audiovisual issues with Oblivion and Fallout 3, I know of a lot of people who had crashes, broken quests and the like, which, as the inferior models and animations, simply should not be in the final products after all their experience with...

Fallout: New Vegas' bugs due to its size

I didn't mean the Gamebryo engine in general, that's why I wrote "since Oblivion". Ie, what I meant is, that under Bethesda (and now Obsidian) a myriad of issues arose with their usage of the engine and haven't been resolved ever since they surfaced during Oblivion. Which means that no, there is...

Fallout: New Vegas' bugs due to its size

I think if one has seen and played as many RPGs as Brother None did, I think he's entitled to express his disgust when Obsidian gains another entry in their "buggy games" list. Besides, this attitude is much, much better than the biased and almost religious brown-nosing you see at some...
