An analogy for the "mods 'll fix it" argument

Let's say I buy a factory-new automobile. Straight off the assembly line. To my intense displeasure and dismay, the vehicle to lacking many critical components and parts. The components that are there are deficient and unusable. Thus, I am forced to gut the whole entire thing. Leaving me with...

What is the point of the Children of Atom?

Content filler. All just cheap filler to give the game some false sense of pseudo-content.

    I'm a Fallout nihilist

People apparently like these piles of shit (Fallout 4, Skyrim) and they're eating them right up calling them "RPG's". I really hope Bethesda just buries these franchises six feet under and leaves them to rot. They're not going to make a good game any time soon.

A steaming pile of shit is still a steaming pile of shit, no matter what angle you look at it from.

Fallout 4 is not "Skyrim with guns."

Skyrim was a piece of shit.

What aspect of Fallout do you enjoy the most/What really got you interested in it?

I used to be interested in some of those items listed. I've dabbled in Star Trek before, and a few years ago I experienced a spike of interest in Star Wars. But as of now, I'm a fantasy guy through and through. EDIT: However, I do enjoy reading certain sci-fi, such as Philip K. Dick's "Do...

One personal side effect of shifting from console gaming to PC gaming...

I tend to have an urge to use console commands in single player games on the PC to make myself godlike and the such. Simply put, the temptation of easy cheats really tugs at me sometimes whilst playing games on my PC. Having such power is unknown to your average console gamer. Anyone else...

Philip K. Dick reference in Fallout 4

If you've completed the whole entire questline for Covenant in Fallout 4 and have read "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" you may find some strong similarities to certain aspects of it. Coincidentally, when I encountered this quest a while ago, I had recently finished reading DADOES.

    Oh boy I'm so happy.../sarcasm

I've beaten New Vegas a few times. I feel like a masochist for playing through Fallout 3 two times. New Vegas was...okay. Not good, but okay. Adequate. It still suffers from its own batch of problems, mostly inherited from Bethesda's shitty writing and gameplay mechanics decisions.

I bought it as a fan of the series, and that is it. I needed to play it for myself so I could testify to its massive shortcomings, and perhaps to prevent others from purchasing it. Heed my words, I shall never buy any expansions for it.

What aspect of Fallout do you enjoy the most/What really got you interested in it?

Don't like fantasy? Ah, to each his own. I love Dungeons & Dragons (speaking of Planescape Torment - lol - although I prefer Baldur's Gate). EDIT: I love Dungeons & Dragons A LOT.

With Age Comes Experience....unless you're a Bethesda Fallout Character.

Fallout 4 is nearly as bad as Fallout 3 when it comes to age, in many ways. You have to be someone, at the youngest, in their late twenties, or at the oldest, in their very early forties (and even that's pushing it), and I bet you can find out yourself why this is so. Only slightly better than...

What aspect of Fallout do you enjoy the most/What really got you interested in it?

For me, at least, the main reason I like Fallout is the pre-war world, being that I am a lover of the Atomic Age and the 1950's in general. I've got a decent collection of 1950's monthly magazines like Popular Science.

    Anybody else hate the music?

I love 1920's-1960's music, okay? My main attraction to Fallout is the pre-war world, being a lover of the Atomic Age and the 1950's. Some have even called me an old soul. HOWEVER, listening to the SAME SONGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN makes me want to BASH MY HEAD ON A...

Why do the Bobrov brothers have accents?

A received pronunciation/British accent is much more explainable - someone may pick up received pronunciation when they perceive it as "superior" and speak in such a way as to seem superior and more intelligent than others around them, and to make themselves more memorable. There are easy ways...

No, really, how do they have accents? I'm pretty sure you can see the ignorance or stupidity (or both) of this writing if you know any lore.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Whoops, didn't read the whole post. The primary determinant of gold's value is its supply or scarcity, not its use, but you are very correct in what you said.
