Mexico...

I really don't like America (not the people, just the way they believe certain things(ie government)) so I'll give em a country that really has no economical sustainability.

EDIT: Or Canada, seeing as the Yankees, Canada and Mexico have signed the NAFTA treaty, America will eventually own them.

My good Sir, Mexico City's 40-thousand-bus public transport service can't be wrong.

I'd say Haiti. Do the black a favour and colonize them.

Or buy back Liberia. Or Sierra Leone.

How bout revoking some poor perfotming state's statehood, or at least give them a probationary term to shape up - Louisiana and Mississippi I'm talking to you!

If we wanted Mexico we wouldn't have given it back when Gen. Lee and the boys took Mexico City.


Taiwan is a good call, nice GDP, fits in with our forward Pacific bases, and sure to piss of China. Would probably start WWIII though.
 
I don't think they would be stupid enough to even try something like that. After all the crap in the middle east. Besides the country would have to have a pretty small population as to not have a huge influx of new " Americans" flocking to the "Mainland". Bush wouldn't risk it. As for Canada, we wouldn't be stupid enough to let them do it, especially after the whole Mulroney era. It would solve the problem with beef exports though. Then the U.S. couldn't blame all the mad cow issues on us.

The 51st state will be the District of Columbia. Hell, they are getting another representative already.

We Canadians view America as the 11th province. Since America knows where dinner is hanging when it comes to natural resources.
