All time Fallout Favorite charater

Hm, that was tricky... I was trying not to land on a companion, but I guess I can't help it, it is how it is, and it has to be Sulik. Of all people, he both helps me - which is good, and forces me to feel a certain bond with the character, and, if given a melee-weapon, he doesn't even hurt you inadvertently, which helps improve on the relation!

Yea i would have to agree with you on that I allways felt bad when he died and i would go back to my last save.

That's the only correct answer for this question.

Uhmmm I have one for each game, is kind of hard to say one is better than the other when their contexts are different.

1. Good ol' Harold.
2. Cassidy, the dude is just cool, a grizzled old merc that has some racist/classist tendecies but is completely open to change them? Pretty cool.
3. Desmond, only character I would like to see reappear from 3.
NV. Arcade.

Dogmeat since I love dogs and he is an amazing fighter.

Harold had the best personality.

Personally, I liked Dean Domino a lot, even though he was a cheating, greedy bugger.

It's difficult to choose, there have been quite a few excellent characters in the series.

1.Dean Domino
2.The Master
3.Joshua Graham

This. Granted, I've only ever played Fallout 1 and New Vegas (haven't gotten around to FO2 yet, I'm 75% through my first play-through of FO1), but I can't imagine anyone topping that "poor old mutant down on his luck." I'm looking forward to meeting him again in FO2. I can easily see how he would be the best character in the whole series.

As for New Vegas, it's hard to say...Arcade is probably my favorite companion, personality wise, but I love how Mr. House so effortless blends together creepiness and classiness. And of course the ruthless machinations of Father Elijah can't be topped. And Caesar always gets an honorable mention for his reference to Hegelian dialectics.

Humm, OK this is a hard one (in no order):

Gizmo is partly on the top of my list, along side Marcus (F2 Marcus).
Dean Domino is on the list someware for a non main game char he had quite a bit of depth to him, should have been main game, if you ask me.
Harold (F2 Harold) is on the list, but only for the GET OF MY LAWN aspect.
The Think Tank are on there for comedy Value.
The Master, I feel needs no explanation.

To be honest some of my list are non main game or not essential, but that's partly why I like them.

Hm, since I mainly play Fallout 2 I guess I'll list characters from that game.

1st place, shared by Cassidy and Marcus. Cassidy for his versatility with weaponry and badassery, Marcus for being just plain awesomeness embodied.
2nd place, Sulik. Good to have around in general, he's strong and a skilled fighter (when he doesn't get himself killed by running into a burstweapon ).
3rd place, I suppose... nah, don't really have anyone on third. They are all decent enough on highest level. Though I really do like Cat Jules, the only NPC that trumphs Cassidy in terms of versatility in weapons.

I will only pick characters from first generation fallouts, since i haven't finished, Fo3, FoNV, and FoBos, yet.
(but i get the feeling only those of FoNV will have chances to be on that list)

1. The Master - Probably one of my favorite characters from any medium. A character looking and sounding like none else, with an intriguing backstory and mysterious powers.
That is a vilain with noble goals that can be dealt in many ways. Also a great exemple of Replay value. I didn't met him and wasn't aware of its existence on my first playthrough...

2. Myron - He embodies Fallout 2 in my opinion. He is despicable, evil, not aware of it, and so much fun. So much guilty pleasure talking with him...

3. Marcus - My favorite post-unity characters. Manage to defend the unity in a reasonable way, while being a major factor in possible peace and coexistence between Ghouls/Mutants/Norms.
Amongs super-mutants, he seems the only one that manage to put himself together and force every races to put aside their differences.
I hope we will be in some sequel, get a more important role, as an embassador of super-mutant, in a human nation, with a human secretary whose height is less than a meter.
Also, his best friends were humans and the way he talk in Fo2 is amazing, like, i don't hate you but don't try to fool me. You can't fool Marcus.

4. The Lieutenant - While pale compared to the master, he is a great character on his own. The well educated super-mutant will never get old. I hope some sequels will mention him. A character like that should never be forgotten.

5. Set - It tend to like him more in retrospect. The ghoul that seems to hate everyone and lead a gang of crazies ghoul is in fact what hold the city together and prevent things to get worse.
Beside that, i prefer norms to smoothskins. It implies that ghouls are better.

The Master: He enters in my Top Ten Villains,Top Ten Fallout Characters,Top Ten Characters with good voice(s), Top Ten Hideous Freaks and the list go on... as you can see I really like this son of Vats.

I agree with Emperor and naossano, the Master is one of the more intriguing video game characters of all time.

I also like Set, mostly because he has such a unique name. I often name my on character Set.

Marcus and Cassidy are up there, for sure.

For me, it's easily Dogmeat at number one (I LOVE Dogmeat x) ), and Moira Brown in number two. She has a really great personality. Third would be 3-dog--he's one cool cat xD

Oddly enough, after The Master/Richard Grey, I think my overall favorite Fallout character is Dane, the unhinged CoC washout on the second story of the Cathedral in Fallout 1. I thought he was a fascinating character and that his dialogue was some of the best writing in the first game. I first played Fallout when I was 13 years old and I've never forgotten his name, or even much of his dialogue.
