Boba Fett

Yes indeedy. I can survive all the other changes, but changing Boba Fett was... a really bad idea.

I'm a rabid fan though so I dont count for much. I'm interested what people who arn't really into star wars as much think, once they've seen (heard) the changes.
 
They cant take a well established voice and just change it like that! Thats horrible...oh the fans will have an outcry for sure.

Havn't watched RotJ yet, but they did take out Luke screaming like a girl when he takes the plunge in Cloud City. Thank God.

Did they put Hayden in as the Anikan Ghost in the end of ROTJ ?
 
Fuck, rather than bring back sweet cut sccenes from the films theyre basterdising them and adding total shit.

They have some sweetass scenes that were cut too, like one in ESB where the rebels had traped a number of Wampa's in a room wi th a large warning sign.

As he was retreating,, 3PO tears off the sign, and stormies open the door.....

Then it cuts to a scene of Vader ariving and seeing the dead stormies.


Lots of small but cool shit that was cut should be puit back in.
 
I'm sure they'll release the Re Re Re Re Re Re Re mastered edition with deleted scenes added in sometime next year, and we'll all plunk down another $40
 
Meh, I last bought the trilogy when the did the VHS THX or whatnot release.

I might buy anotehr VHS adition of the unalterd OT, but I sure as hel wont buy it on DVD unless it's WITHOUT shitty aditions (or at least has an option to NOT view them)

No way. A friend of mine has a laserdisc copy before it was bastardized which I am getting. Lucas will get some more money when Episode 3 comes out but that's it from me. I would not buy any of the DVDs unless they put out the original films on them.
 
He really has become an idiot. Luckily my roomate has the originals copied from laserdisc to DVD, so I won't need to ever see the horrible mess the movies have become.
 
The Boba Fett thing kind of bothered me.

I can justify them putting Hayden Christianson in the end of RoTJ, though. I mean, it makes sense. That's how Anakin Skywalker looked when he died. If it was a ghost of an older Anakin, he'd be all fucked up and scarred. So I guess it works out.

The DVDs look and sound fucking amazing though...the quality is ridiculous.

Well worth the wait. I wish he'd included the original versions, though.
