Try running into people and divebombing them.

GTA IV Modding Community released some great mods for having fun with the ragdoll system. A in-game trainer allows you to map a quick key for turning you in ¨ragdoll¨ mode(the same movement as drunk mode), which I find amazing to run and then throw myself at people  Also, there is a grab mod for attaching Niko to a car with his hands, giving him a really fun ride :D

I'm just drawing conclusions over this choice and guessing that the top 5 won't be so interesting to me since you have different expectations from the games you play.

FUNNY PICTURE

Are you serious? I list one sandbox OTS shooter game and you jump to the conclusion that the rest won't be interesting to you? I am very curious how exactly your brain is wired.

Thank you for the funny picture, but as far as my interest go you listed two platform games, one hack'n'slash and one sandbox OTS shooter game. Pretty much half of the list so far.

I don't really know why you're becoming all aggressive and making personal attacks, but if that's the way to do it here :
Even though english is not my mother language (but it's yours), your *correctly wired brain* can notice a slight language subtility in the phrase you quoted :
I'm guessing ≠ I'm concluding

For a more detailed literary explanation
1) I'm drawing conclusions over this choice about your tastes in video games that are different than mine (this is a fact)
2) AND (another proposition follows)
3) I'm guessing that the top 5 won't be so interesting to me

In GTA IV when you die you keep your weapons (as said above), in GTA SA if you have the right girlfriends in the game they will keep your weapons for you if you die or get busted, in GTA VCS you can buy your weapons back from the police after dying or getting busted.

Never played VCS, never will play it. I played through SA with a friend on PS2 and I was very happy when we finally finished that thing... never played it again since then too. Didn't know that you can get your stuff back from the girlfriends (never have done much with them anyway, because I found this drive to x, drive to y, etc. a bit annoying.)

I can't really remember if you keep your weapons in GTA IV if you die... it might be possible. But then again, it's the only GTA game i've never finished because I got bored after approx half of the game.

Yeah, maybe these games are not my thing. Still I like them here and there...

I did enjoy the way the game [GTA: Vice City] was supposed to bring the look and feeling of the "Miami Vice", which was one of the most successful TV shows when I was kid/teenager, as well as the pop-obscurity (not sure if this is the right term, maybe pop-nebulosity sounds better) of the 1980's. Rockstar nailed it to the head, no doubt.

I just somehow couldn't force myself to finish it, getting stuck somewhere in the middle of the whole story. After that, I really never tried to tackle it again - it's probably my personal failure, maybe I should've grave-dig it out of a dusty box and try... The cause for this could be some other games which have drawn my attention, as well as the increased number of multiplayer sessions of those (via LAN and net).

Yeah yeah, drop the personal attacks before I get out the crowbar, guys.
I call Gordon F. in the first five.

Edit: obscurity-nebulosity part

Yeah, I guessed that as soon as I saw it. :)
Damn, I love me some Half-Life. Opposing Force was my personal favourite.

No FPSs in this list. Did no one read the first post?

Also seriously; you might not be aware of this, but aside from being a weapon in Half-Life the crowbar is an actual tool, and people might not always be referring to HL when saying "crowbar".

Also, having played HL1, HL2, and ep 1 and 2, I like Half-Life but I don't love it. Half-Life is a fairly standard FPS (keep in mind I didn't play it at the time, and in hindsight it's certainly nothing special), HL2 is a standard FPS with physics gimmicks and graphics that made everyone drool - but I'm not big on graphics, ep 1 was boring, ep 2 was cool. But these games aren't even my favourite shooters, let alone favourite games.

Fair enough.

It's that interesting, yes. :P

I admit, glanced at it only. Couldn't wait to start with the Rick, you know? One of my favourites, but for C64. Not sure if it'd hit my top 15, still great fun with that one.

OK, changing the call to BG1/2 (most probably 2). My bell rings "Pandemonium" too, dunno why.

I wonder if there will be any Nintendo games in this list....

Come on, everyone loves at least one Nintendo game....right?

BN, I know this is your "the games i had most fun with" list, but are you saying that you had more fun with GTA VC than you had with Arcanum and VTMB?

Good write up so far BN.

I look forward to the continuation.

Do I always agree with you? No. Is that relevant? No.

Your writing skills are good, this is an entertaining read, and it brings back memories. Thumbs up. :ok:

Considering how much I love sandbox games I still kick myself whenever I realize I haven't played any of the GTA's. Brother None's mention just makes it worse.

Sincerely,

Instead of all the kicking you might wanna focus on playing. GTA games are one of the best, if not the best example of sandbox done right.

Aye, Vice City was an awesome game. I just started playing GTA IV and I've been laughing my ass off. It's probably the most serious game in the series but I'm finding it even more hilarious than others for some reason. Overall, every game in the series feels like the makers are having fun with it, which gives the series a good vibe.

BTW, I'm going to hold off on checking that list out, I kind of like them being revealed one by one.

What do you mean by "kicking"? A spelling error I presume.

It has a bit more realistic vibe to it, but humour in GTA IV is my favorite of the series. Characters are just more colourful which is why I like writing of GTA IV the best.
