Can't tell if the Highwayman is working

First time out of the vault
I have bought the Highwayman, installed both mods, and tried a couple different locations and random encounters to no avail. Travelling seems to be at the same rate, and I go back to the Den and it's still sitting in the junkyard. I have read that you should see your car near your starting position in any town, and I do start in a different location in Murdoc (behind the church), but can't see the Highwayman. Hopefully there is some way to just "start" the car, or maybe this is a bug? Any help would be appreciated...
 
You might want to, you know, USE the car instead of just leaving the map.
 
Well, that's what should work. Useing the car, with the hand-icon. It'll then go to the world map.

Really, that's all there is to it. Although you should use the front part of the car, not the back, because that's the storage space.
 
Well, it's still not working, any problem you can think of? I'm going to try one of my earlier saves, maybe I did something....

Edit: No luck.....

2. Buy it.
3. Fuel it.
4. Use it.
5. ???
6. Profit.

Simple as that.
 
No, he means the car parts. It took me a few seconds to work it out too.
 
I have the same problem, it seems to be something to do with the official patch. It really pissed me off at the time.
 
I don't think it has anything to do with the official patch. I rather think it is because he is clicking the wrong place.
