Car Mod

First time out of the vault
I made a little car mod for the Highwayman, Fallout2.

Gold-paintjobbed low-rider with a chrome hood, Brahmin hide apholstery, and, uh, the... 'driven' look. Some dents, stains, and funny smells. Only attacked by raiders with super sledges once! Available soon. preview here. Looks better in game.

And if the "Paint Job Mod" made the car gold I'm gonna kick myself.

Okay, this is my first time packing a dat, so bear with me if it's faulty. And any odd distortions on the car are because I made it with paint, using, yes, the Highwayman from Klamath. Place it in your Fallout2 directory, just like any other mod. If you have a patch000.dat already, you'll have to rename it for this to work. Unless you have FAME or ModRunner, in which case you should probably rename this one. It is temporarily unavailable for download, but may soon be moved to the downloads section of Wastes United. It might even be downloadable on NMA soon.

Okay. The patch was faulty, first of all, so my bad. But I've got everything in a Handy Zip File (Of Doom.) This means you'll be able to use you're old savegames, at least. The installation process is somewhat more complicated, though. See below. The zip file is here and there is a screenshot here. The long and painful instructions are as follows:

1) Unzip the highwayman.zip using the WinZip Wizard or WinRAR.
2) Unzip the files to your Fallout2 directory. If prompted, click 'Yes to All' in order to replace the existing car art with the new car art.
3) If ever you feel the need to have the old car art, just rename the CARTRUNK and CARSPEC1 .frm files.
