Coffee cup appreciation thread

Mr muggyman 3000

Lover of coffe cups
I made this thread to honor the greatest thing mankind has ever created.. The coffee cup!!. There's so many things that make coffe cups great.Their smooth ceramic based design, the tasteful thickness of them. It truly breaks my heart to know that Theres so many goddamn dirty dishes out there with no one to clean them.

Is this another character-account? There's something in the water these days...

At home my favourite cup is a mug from the Edradour distillery. At work I use a Thorlabs mug that came with an order we placed there. They usually add stuff like candy and tea and so on to fill up their packages, but sometimes they also add these mugs which are quite big and heavy.

I do appreciate coffee cup wholeheartedly! And South America for fine coffee beans too.

I actually cut back on coffee quite a bit this and the last week mostly because I'm still on crutches and can't scale the stairs to my office with only one crutch. And there's not always a colleague around to help me :D
At home I drink more tea than coffee, and mostly on the weekends (although recently it's more coffee than tea on weekends). Stopped drinking it at home in the morning since it's kind of routine for my work group to go to the coffee maker shortly after we all arrive at work, so it's kinda pointless to load up on caffeine before that.
So what's your favourite brew method? I use either French Press or Moka pot with fresh ground beans for coffee, and loose leaf black tea or Early Grey for tea.

My favourite mug at home is my Black Mesa mug. Second favourite is my SHIELD mug which reveals a HYDRA logo when it becomes warm.

As for coffee and tea, I drink tea in England because the English don't do coffee well. I drink coffee when I'm in America because the Americans don't do tea very well.

I have a mug from the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) which has all the ships they use on the side and the length, max speed, range and crew.
I also own a World of Warcraft mug

I have some Marvel mugs around for pens/markers, but I can't stand hot drinks. I like iced espresso with a shot of heavy cream, no sweetener.

Life is short, there's no need to shorten it even more with coffee.
Coffee's not my cup of tea.

I drink coffee, bit too much infact as do most Finns. However, I'm interested in cutting down with it and transitioning to tea. What in your opinion is bad about coffee drinking? Can interfere with sleeping, that's one thing.

My favorite coffee mug is the biggest one.

The shitting, mostly. If it's too much it also makes my why too restless and twitchy, but I rarely drink more than two cups per day.

Hassknecht,

well yes, but I wouldn't say coffee is as bad as say, cigarette smoking that can potentially really shorten one's life. But coffee isn't a beneficial thing really, I wonder why it's become such a national beverage over here. Long, dark winters I guess require people to keep going somehow.

I used to have a gorillaz superfast jellyfish mug that my brother gave me but my mother dropped it taking it out of the dishwasher. :(

Coffee is a great source of antioxidants @MutantScalper. Since there's not much natural antioxidants from fresh fruits in Finland, your body commands you to drink the black water of life instead! Antioxidants are very important in order to prevent various types of cancer plus other serious diseases such as Parkinson's. So, listen to your body and keep drinking coffee, my frozen friend.
