Revolutionary fighters attacked the house where Gaddafi was hiding, and as they claim, killed him.
There's a pic too.

Yo Gaddafi, I'm happy for ya an' I'mma let you finish, but Steve Jobs was the best dictator death of 2011. OF 2011!

Yeah, from the images we've seen so far it seemed unnecessary and therefore inhumane to execute him in the street like an animal.

Give the rebels a break. They have been chaffing under this madman for 40 years, and he more or less declared full-scale war on them when they wanted to oust him. He knew they hated him, and he stayed in the country, well, he had it coming. I have absolutely zero pity for him, especially since we know know many atrocities worse than just being killed hapnened under his regime.

Well, wasn't it obvious from the start what would happen when the rebels caught Gaddafi?
Quite a lot of the rebels are savage, slaughtering dicks.

And therefore it's justifiable to lower "yourself" to his level instead of bringing him in front of a court?

You win the fucking Cup and everybody is all of a sudden a Bruins fan. Where was this guy during the regular season last year?

Yeah it seems that a lot of people have no problem with medieval methods of dealing with such things. (eye for an eye etc). :|

It is always sad when someone dies as a jerk. But he really did need to go.

Still, I wish he had a trial (even though I understand why they didn't give him one)

I don't know much about Gaddafi, but I do know a tad bit about dictators, having lived for some time under one.

Sometimes, the "medieval methods" are a lot better. You don't want to see a man who has ruined your life sitting in some courtroom, well fed, well cared during the procedure, and later in some jail cell, where he would (again) be well fed and well taken care of, while you and the rest of your people get to live in the shithole he had left behind him. Even if he gets a death sentence, it isn't going to make it better.

So, if you want to have a man who ruined life and future of you and those around you to be brutally murdered, mangled in the streets and further humiliated, I understand that. Yes, it may seem atrocious and inhumane, but I understand that.

The only thing that worries me now is that Libya, as it had been pointed out, would probably collapse into a state of even greater chaos. Sad, indeed.

He would've needed to have several thousand pairs of eyes for that to be the case isn't it? :|

So "just" because someone commits lots of crimes (he helped building up infrastructure and such in Libya too, I wonder when those rebels now will think about that?) it means we can shit all over the human rights and rules "we westerners" built our nations on? Amazing to see how fast people can just shrug off these things.

It doesn't mean that I can't understand the anger and so on, like you pointed out. But this is not the way to go.

It's all about a politics. If you ask me, most of those rebels are the same kind of people, like Gaddafi was. (Perhaps even worse.)
