Com link with Enclave trooper.

Rogue Hex

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Well, today was the first time that i actually tried using the computer in reactor 5 to repare the radiation leaks. Normally i would just give the hydroelectric part to a ghoul who would fit it for me.
Anyways, while using the computer, trying to find how to get the robot to work correctly, i stumbled across a com link with an Enclave trooper. This may not be new to a lot of people but was for me.
Well i kinda mocked him slightly saying he would never find me. He replied by saying that some vert birds had been sent to my location.

Well, i was just wondering if they actually come. I've waited around for a couple of days but nothing happened. No trropers in power armour, no vert birds, nothing. Is the message it? Did i wait around for nothing?

Is this one of those many things that didn't get finished in that mad dash to release the game?

This is indeed one of the things that wasn't finished. You can provoke him all you want, he'll never come, sadly.

I must've spent an hour trying to get that guy to come. Finally I just gave up. I never bothered trying to do the radiation leak thing with the robot (I just ran in and ran out)....is there a way to do it with the bot?

Course, just need to get the sequences right.

You can also convince the ghoul to do it.

I can't remember if you have to fix the robot before you can use it or if you evan have to fix it at all. But any once you have fixed it just enter the correct sequence and then adda final command to the end such as replace the hydroelectric piece. I wont say the correct sequence for it, dont want to spoil the fun.

However to get it right, you need the robot to travel from each location untill it gets to the place to fit the Hydroelectric thingy.

Aww, now I remember why I never had the robot do it...I would do that, get frustrated and end up just doing it myself. I'll try it, sometime.

Ok you guys forced me to dig through all my stuff to find this hope it helps out.

When you are in geko use the computer to access the robot then select initiate repair sequence make sure you have hydro megenitic hooberjagger thingy ok 8)

Now follow the instructions below in order

1 amplify plutonium - gamma shield
2 deharmonize neptunium impeller
3calibrate uranium - rad driver
4 self voltage on saturn - class capacitor
5 test jump wave compiler
6 install hydro magnetosphere regulator

Optional 7 smoke a joint and relax

to destroy it turn main coolent valvue off lynnette gets mad !
Someone post before ozrat can ruin my post lol

here's how you'll always remember the solution for robot problem. you noticed that all the tasks you can give to robot contain names of planets? well, just list all tasks in the order that matches the positions of planets in solar system, starting with Pluto. ergo, last planet in solar system is Pluto, so first task should be "amplify Plutonium-gamma shield". after Pluto comes Neptunius, then Uranus, then Saturn, then Jupiter. so can you now guess in which order the five tasks have to go? as sixth task you must, of course, put "install HyMag". see how easy it is?

Aha, i knew there was some way by which you could remember the sequence. Thanks Ratty.

*Sigh* I can finally get some sleep now.

Feel kinda like ripped off here ya i got to adimt rattys idear is also very good but dam i put it all in order for ya and not even a thanks. :?

Dont get me wrong, you idea and explanation was the best yet and described in detail what to do to get that piece of retarded steel to work.

I was just refering to Ratty as this was the way that i've been trying to remember for the last couple of day's

Okay....smart people with the solar systems and all....

.....I just hovered my mouse over the machines in the reactor room, by the order they're placed clockwise around the reactor. The names are being told to you, after all :D

But no repairing robot. I agree, the part with the Enclave trooper was pretty damn funny...

"er.....my video link is broken....hang on..."

...the console also bears a little secret if you pester it long enough on a certain subject.

And it can also shock you :D

He's being vague enough... But I think he's referring to the talking head in Modoc that makes a communication with the Enclave and the other one's in the med room where if you check for stuff 80 times it eventually reveals something (can't remember if it's the implants or just the "vault's secret" where you need to return once you've finished the game).

Nope, I'm talking about the (slap me if I get this wrong, it's been close to 2 years) "search database" option on the terminal in Gecko in the power plant (the one where you can contact the enclave trooper).

It'll tell you, after 2 times, "You find nothing new." (or something like that).

Now keep pressing "Search more". If you keep doing it long enough, the terminal will (I think it was) tell you about the Vault City computer and what you have to do with it.
And if you hit "Search more" once again, you'll get an electric shock from the terminal's keyboard :)
