Critical hits should never be 0?

There is a fix in sfall that is supposed to not allow critical hits of 0 to be displayed when instant death occurs, but I'm not sure that a critical hit of 0 on its own is wrong when instant death does NOT occur.

Opinions?

If I remember correctly, the fix in sfall is to make critical hits of at least 1 when instant death occurs, right?
I think "normal" critical hits is fine as it is now, since many of critical hits have "bypass armor" effect. I guess that means I could damage targets under most of circumstances. But I don't know if the effect means ignoring both DR & DT or just DT?

Wouldn't it be better to show 999 damage when instant death is inflicted ?
Kinda strange killed by ant which hit my-500hp-character for 1hp :D

Off topic.

Instant kill sometimes looks strange.
For example, your character with only 50% unarmed skill and 5 strength, kills a professional boxer in New Reno in one hit (that happened to me yesterday).

'His spine is now visible from the front.'

Hm, but in some cases it makes sense.
Hit-Points represents the bodymass; if the throwing knife stabs in your eye, relative small physical damage is done to your body. Except eye and brain, body is untouched (almost all HP's) but death is approaching.

Looks strange, but happens in real life. It doesn't take much to break some's neck if you know what to do, even if accidentally. There are quite a few weak spots in a human body that one could inflict heavy damage, if not death.
