Did anyone watch movie 'Babel'?

First time out of the vault
I watched half of the film before I left for school but so far this gotta be the best movie I've seen this year.

Its theme, situation, and setting are just breathtaking. All these are also portrayed extremely realistically, and I find myself automatically putting myself and thinking in the perspectives of the characters.

Definitely a masterpiece. Can't wait to see other half and finish it.

would you also enjoy a movie where you have to watch for 2 hours at a Cate Blanchett photograph :p ?

Just finished watching it all. Absolutely superb movie with clear theme and excellent cinematography. My hat goes to Kikuchi Rinko for her marvelous portrayal of a deaf girl. Too bad Pacific Rim did not make full use of her talent just to show dat passive Asian girl stereotype role.

i watched it at the movie theater.

i thought it was a great movie although at the time most people said it was hard to follow and stuff.

I personally liked the film a lot. It's one of the few films which weren't bloated by all the praise they got, and are actually worthy and deserving all of it.

It's not the most accessible motion picture, but it's definitely worth it.

But I think this should've been posted in the Movie thread, just sayin'.

Brad Pitt :/

As much as I hate Hollywood films and actors, or at least "don't like" them, Pitt has had some solid roles, and IIRC, he pulled off Babel pretty well. Him and Blanchet made a good pair on screen.
I actually consider him to be a solid actor, as some of his films and roles he played in them were pretty good.

I don't give a crap about his private life.

I agree that he is a good actor, but for certain roles he is just too recognizeable. The fake gray they sprayed his hair with did very little to remedy this :I
It just didn't fit the feel of the rest of the movie imo.

I see what you're trying to say, but still, it didn't prevent me from fully enjoying the film.

However, from all the different stories shown there, I found that particular one to be least engaging.
