Has anyone found a use for this? On every playthrough the first thing i do is go collect it thinking im being clever and will need it later.. but im pretty sure by now ive done everything i can do in this game and i still have no idea what its for besides taking up 1 lb of my inventory space

The Fallout wiki says it doesn't do anything nor can it be used for anything quest related either.

Never really noticed the item myself.

It's not surprising. It's as rare as the Acoustic Guitar and not nearly as noteworthy. You find one in a corner in that unnamed shack at the Goodsprings end of Radscorpion Gulch, and there's another somewhere in one of the DLCs, iirc.

I remember finding one in a Dog Bowl in Old World Blues.
