Ok, I got the quest from Stark to find and eliminate the raiders and found their base, but only the back entrance (that one with all the radscorpions and traps). So far so good, no trouble getting past that.
But then, when I reach the two doors, there's no way to get them to open and enter the actual base. My lockpicking skill is virtually none, explosives don't blow it open, my character can't force it open with the crowbar (even when buffed out), can't punch it open, either. As a last resort, I went back to my car and got a shotgun to blast the bloody thing open and it APPARENTLY worked, since the graphics of the two doors changed and everything, but the terrain is still unpassable! I still can't move my character beyond the doors. Also, when examining them, the game says they're still locked even though graphically they're wide open.
Then, I saved my game here and tried shooting the raiders from behind the doors to see if they would run towards me and unlock them on the way (I remember doing that on one previous game), but none of the raiders came, even after they ran out of ammo and switched to knives. I suspect that by shooting the door, not only did I not unlock it, I managed to make the passage completely unpassable.
My first few times playing FO2 this didn't happen because I usually get lockpick as a tag skill, but this time I didn't. Also, I'm playing the 1.02 version. Did anybody else have this problem?
