I'm new to this forum so hi

why the hell there isn't option, or choice to side with enclave in this game? the enclave are so much boss then the brotherhood of steel!?

come on, they have trained deathclaws ffs

Well, technically, there is.
You can agree to inject the FEV toxin into the water supply at project purity. You won't be an official member, but you are still doing the enclave's work.

i've inserted FEV virus in the purifer but its still not enclave ending how i was hoping it would be..

You can call an artillery strike on the BOS, turning them all hostile

And the Enclave will still hate you

Heck, you could just tell Autumn the code when they capture you in the hope you can join them.

Oh wait...

Yeah, Bethesda kinda dropped the ball there.

Though to be fair, you couldn't join the enclave in FO2 either.
You can join the antagonist in FO1...for a cutscene.

The only fallout game so far where you can officially help the antagonists is F:NV...unfortunately, the legion sucks donkey balls.
Seriously, they are so boring to work for its not even funny.

To be fair, the only solid antagonist was Benny. In the second part of the story, the antagonist is who you choose.

Nah, the Enclave's pretty much dead at this point. Their part of the Fallout canon is done imo. It's time to set the Enclave aside and get some new antagonists.

Can you join Benny though? I know you can set him free but I'm not sure if you can actually join forces with him.

You can only go as to set him free. If you agree to join him he invites you up to the presidential suite of the tops where he (spoilers!) betrays you. If he escapes you then we see him next in the fort where you can sort of help him escape, but you never join him.

come on, they have trained deathclaws ffs
1. Enclave will ultimately kill the player character. given that the FEV thing affects NONE of original Enclave members (or what's left of them). their ultimate goal is simple. get rid the world of every 'mutants' they've defined. then, repopulate the world with their very kind (bah! don't they aware that their goons will soon twisted in the process of reconquista?) generally speaking. they're actually Nazis!
2. Deathclaws are just a tool to their cabals. once they've achieved the goal of using FEV to kill everyone they deemed not worth to live. Deathclaws will be disposed of.
3. Bethesda did write their own epilogue of FO3, which one day. they will declare it as canon ending.. well at least one has been revealed in FONV. the 'Wasteland Survival Guide' written by Moira and the Player Character of FO3. it is implied that player finished EVERY optional objectives for 'Moira's research'. to be honest. the canonical ending of FO3 as established by Bethesda is that the player DOES NOT contaminate the Project Purity with Enclave's FEV. so simply put. FO world will goes on. Beths will have its grip over FO license tighter than before so denying Black Isle remnants a chance to reclaim the license.

A very small fraction of the Enclave. Remember how the BoS were a minor faction in New Vegas after being run out by the NCR? Well the Enclave's had that happen on two different coasts. And they aren't going away "just like that", they're going away because they've been getting manhandled across the continent. Think about it.

Fallout 2: Enclave Oil Rig destroyed, this was a major Enclave installation considering the research that went on, and the fact that the head of their government lived there.
Fallout 3: Raven Rock and the air force base are destroyed, again these were major installations in the Enclave power structure.

They've been suffering crippling defeats in both games they've featured prominently in. They will never be able to rise to their former level of power again, and will fade from relevance just like the west coast BoS.

Just out of curiosity, BigPipe, what do you find so attractive about the Enclave? To me, they seem like either corrupt officials or brainwashed cannon fodder.

they were thoroughly nuked in FO2, and still were capable of high organization in FO3. this annoyed me, but it goes to show that in game-story-writing all they have to do is make a decision "we decide: that the enclave came back again, and now they have a super-awesome space programme - that must be stopped!"
imho, the enclave shoulda died off completely after FO2

Everyone likes to point this out, but the Enclave's treatment in Fallout 2 wasn't really realistic either. A single oil rig wouldn't have anywhere near the resources to create power armours, maintain its vertibirds, feed its people or perform its experiments.

The fleet of vertibirds and almost limitless army in Fallout 3 is probably a bit of a stretch, but it stands to reason that they would have facilities outside of the rig.
