A friend of my linked this video and even if i don't like survival games much i may actually look into this one.

Sitting on my phone so didn't watch the entire thing but he said it is made from some former stalker members.

Thanks for the video.

I've been a big fan of Rust and I've always wanted to play DayZ, although that's impossible because of my crappy PC, and that game looks promising.

The project is really ambitious though and I don't know if the developpers will be able to pull it off.

Yeah it may fail like most survival games but i'll wait for it to be released before i pass judgement.

This video makes me wish two things:

1: a new pc
2: to not suck at shooters/shootery stuff so bad

Looks interesting. I especially like how the map only allows for 64 players to make player encounters more rare. Makes everything more survivally.

This looks quite good. I am especially liking the gun/customization porn. The "Stalker"-ish nature is what makes me excited the most.

Hopefully, they won't end up like most of these "survival" games, that don't even make it out of Early Access.

I have bought 1 survival game ever.. And that was 1 to much! But my friend linked this to me and i might just get it unless it flopps.

Haha, was it DayZ by any chance? That's the only survival game I was excited to buy and 2 years later, I am still regretting. Doesn't look like it's coming out of Early Access anytime soon either.

But this Tarkov game looks promising.

looks cool but i doubt i'll buy another online post apoc shooter( already got rust dayz and h1z1) since pretty much all of them were ruined by hackers fairly quickly (especially dayz)

Yeah that is a big problem it seems.. Or the fact that i get bored quite fast by games like this but hey.. One might break the trend!

As much as I love STALKER, I can't bear the idea of an online game in the same vain.

I know the feeling but it may be good.. Going to keep an eye on it at least.

It was worse.. It was Nether :)

I kinda have faith in this game because it doesn't feature zombies, mutants, night creatures and shit like that and instead seems to be focusing on almost ArmA/Project Reality-like game mechanics.

Sure, russian kiddies that refuse to speak english and their hacking counterparts might be possible, but that's nothing a well-admined server or whitelist can't handle, IMHO. At least that's how it worked for me during my DayZ Mod days.

What the heck, I can't edit my previous posts. I wanted to add, that apart from not featuring zombies it also has a clear goal - Escaping the Tarkov Zone (and then you can add your loot to the staff, if you make it). None of that sandbox minecraft bullshit etc.

Was really excited until i heard the online part, though i have to admit by reading and viewing the videos, i'm still not sure how this game is going to be played. Some points are interesting tough:

* Cooperate with strangers or get shot by your friend in the back - there are no rules.
* Loot fallen enemies and containers to get a vast variety of items to use and barter.

I just can't see how this could end badly
