This is a thread where we face factions off against eachother and decide who might win. Then debate about your different faction wars and discuss the results.
I know the confrontations are very unrealistic, this thread is just for giggles though so take it with a pinch of salt.
Mr House/The Strip vs Legion
Mr House goes to war with Caesar. This is a full military confrontation. Mr House's objective is to beat back/destroy the Legion and prevent them from taking Vegas, Caesars goal is to make Vegas his new Rome.
My Verdict: Solid Legion Victory
Robert Houses power base depends on the Three Families on the Strip. In my opinion, if the Three Families are taken out of the equation, Robert Houses power dissolves.
Caesar has his Frumentarii, who are skilled in assassination and infiltration. He could use these to assassinate the leaders of the Three Families, and anyone else of importance. He could also have them go on a massacre shooting in a casino/the casinos with smuggled in firearms to make sure double sure the Casinos and Houses power/monetary base is crippled (I'm sure they can smuggle in an assault rifle or two).
He can also use his Legion in guerrilla terrorist attacks or probably even simple attacks to slaughter tourists heading to New Vegas. After enough are killed, crucified, and generally mass murdered tourism to Vegas will shut down.
This means tourism to Vegas, literally Houses only income, disappears. He's fucked now.
Sure House could use his securitron army, and sure they would obliterate your average Legionary, but the Legion numbers in the hundreds of thousands, including everyone back in Arizona, and Mr House only has about 500 securitrons, maybe 1000 at most. The Legion will inevitably win that confrontation.
Then they can just kill him. In fact, they dont even have to do that. They can just let House rot. There nothing he can do.
NCR vs BoS - round 2
The NCR and the BoS have another war.
My verdict: NCR victory
The Brotherhood is in a sorry state. The NCR would crush them in another confrontation.
The Mojave outpost wouldn't take much doing, a couple of battalions of troopers and some rangers would do the job. I dont think NCR would bother sending an undercover agent to set off the self destruct, armour piercers and pulse grenades worked last time, and they'll work again.
I heard there are undercover BoS outposts in California, which could be easily destroyed using the same tactic. I'm not including the Midwest/Texas branches, since I dont know if they are Canon or not.
East Coast BoS is obviously out of the equation, but this thread is for shits and giggles so lets include them. NCR smashes them with sheer numbers or uses artillery to destroy the Prydwen, which relies on the fact nobody in the commonwealth has a functioning howitzer.
Institute vs Legion
The Institute ends up in a war with the Legion.
Its nonsensical, but dont question it, this is a thread for laughs.
My Verdict: Institute stomp
All they need to do is infiltrate the Legion and its Command structure with Generation Three synths, and then give them the command to wreak havoc. Its generally accepted knowledge that if Caesar dies the Legion will totally collapse within a year. All that needs to happen is for a synth to blow his head off (Legionaries are allowed to carry firearms at all times).
I also assume he doesn't just stay in his tent all the time. I think he probably makes speeches and does other things. All the synth needs to do is pick up a rifle, and shoot him.
Synths can also infiltrate elsewhere, and they could assassinate other important figures like Aurelius of Phoenix and Gaius Magnus etc.
