Hey dude, great video. I see you've been making Fallout videos for a while, will have to check those out.
I haven't played Fallout 1.5 since release, though I remember most of the major lore. I liked your review, especially putting it in the context of the timeline. You're discussion of where it falls in the timeline and how close it is to Fallout 1's timeline gave me a lot of newfound appreciation for things like the Mutant Hunters, and the remnants of the Unity scattered all over the world.
I think by viewing it through a lens of the title being literal to every aspect of the game, and it being an attempt to merge 1 and 2 in every way even lore-wise and thematically, you've uncovered a lot of interesting things to be discussed lore-wise, especially in regards to the Rebirth's goals being a synthesis of the Master and the Enclave.
Solid video and has given me a much greater appreciation of Fallout 1.5
Slight correction about the New Vegas amnesia thing: JESawyr has explicitly interpreted that the Amnesia thing is inaccurate to the designers intention. They never intended for the game to be read that way, and the seemingly basic questions solely exist to introduce new players to the intricacies in the world. The whole "Amnesia" idea originated with obsessive fans on lore subreddits saying "Well it's the only way we can explain the fact that the Courier can ask basic questions". It's not something the designers of the game take as canon.
Other than that, great job, and I look forward to future videos in the series, and when I have more free time, hope to watch your videos on Fallout 1 and 2.
