Fallout 1 - Is it okay to kill the Brotherhood Invaders

Fallout 1

I'm not able to leave the Military base because the Brotherhood Invaders are blocking the doorway.

Is okay to kill them? or is there any other way to prevent them from blocking my exit?
There are no enemies around that I can get to kill them for me.

they are just staying still next to the door? that's an unusual thing for them to do
try waiting some time or detonating a bomb on yourself (not sure if that won't make them hostile)
