Fallout 2 - Increased STR +1 and AP +1 Accidentally! But how?

Hello guys,

Playing fallout series since 1999 and last week installed Fallout 2 and started again. But this time something interesting happened! Well, here is the story;

SPECIAL (Base) 4 9 6 3 9 10 7 - Developed (hardened Power Armour) - 9? 10 4 10 10 9 (str should be 8)
Gifted , Small frame - Phoenix lvl 2 and Dermal lvl 1, Tags (Energy weapons, Lockpick, Speech)

1)As always started with a speed run. Got the Power Armour mark 2 and recruited Sulik and Cassidy.
2)Start to do some quests through Klamath, The Den, Modoc, Vault City, Newreno (To get the chips, You know!)

3)Here is the interesting part. I beat the Lo pan. Moved to New Reno and here it starts... I used some jets and Buffouts. Addicted to both drugs but not to psycho! Used psycho aswell. I guess, I used 2 times from all of them but not mentats! Became a prize fighter.
4) Went to Dr. Troy to get the antidote. Used the antidote to cure addiction to Jet. But Buffouts addiction stand still.
5)Waited for a week next to Dr. Troy. Buff out addiction Cured and BOOOOM.
6) +1 STR and +1 AP increased permanently.

Is this a glitch or something? Or Did my character welcomed to Fallout 2 addiction support group? WTF guys seriously.

(My version is GOG with restoration project HR patched Ver - 4.1.8)

What your refferring to is "Bug Points", a concept that I discovered, and have nearly mastered. You got the the "Bug Points" because you took a Jet Antidote while you were addicted to Jet, but the game failed to apply the Jet Addiction debuffs to your characters SPECIAL stats. This causes the game to over correct, and permanently increase Streangth, Perception, and Action Points by +1 each.

So why did the game fail to apply the necessary debuffs for your Jet Addiction, and why did the game over correct? This is because of the NEW BUG that I discovered, and named the "Jet Bug". So what is the "Jet Bug"?
Well about 25% of the time you become addicted to Jet, the game fails to apply the necessary debuffs to your characters stats. If this happens in your game, you can attempt to correct it, but if you fail at that there is nothing you can do to reverse it. In that case you are playing with the "Jet Bug", and everything will seem normal, as you still get the "addict" message, but your stats, and Action Points remain the same.

If you take a Jet Antidote while the game is Jet Bugged, the game will over correct, remove the "addict" message, and permanently increase your Stats, and Action Points.
