Fallout 2 - no metal armor in Happy Harrys (vault city)

First time out of the vault
Hi

I'm playing fallout 2 with latest killap's restoration project.
I've strange problem -(never had it before and I've finished game like 3 or 4 times long time ago) Happy Harry's doesnt have metal armor or even leather armor!
Same thing with Randall (I checked what is he selling by getting false citizen papers).
I've level 7, I've positive karma and I have antipathy reputation in vault city.

You only have 25% chance that the metal armor will be there (unless Killap tweaked it), so just leave town for a few days and come back. Harry restocks every two weeks or so (though I may have been checking an outdated version of the script).

Noticed this as well when I was recently playing. Balthas in Modoc does not stock Leather Armor Mk2, Happy Harry in Vault City Courtyard does not stock Leather Armor Mk2 or Metal Armor and Randall in Vault City does not stock Metal Armor Mk2, like they all did in vanilla Fallout 2. From what I've noticed with the RP, each one of them usually stocks 1-2 Leather Jackets and 1 Leather Armor, along with a few bits of useless junk (couple of bullets, maybe some tools). There's barely anything of worth even in Randall's store. Over in Gecko, Percy at the Survival Gear Locker stocks 14mm Pistols, FN Fals and Assault Rifles. Checked their inventories multiple times over a long playing period, I think it may be a bug that they have Klamath/Den-type shop inventory.

Though, if you just head over to New Reno momentarily, Eldridge stocks enough LA/MA Mk2 to fit out you and 2 or 3 companions.

Speaking about Eldridge... shouldn't he be better stocked? I mean, the man never has money for barter, and he's supposed to be New Reno's best merchant. His inventory may be ok, but the lack of money really makes him a crippled option to barter with, imo.

I know this is sin city, drugs+alchool+prostitution+gambing are the main trades... but such a big city really lacks a better commerce.

@Killap: it is still possible to steal money from the midget merchant inside NCR. Maybe you should change it just like you did to the merchants in San Francisco. I for one can't control myself and leave him with so much money, so I always but everything he offers and steal back all the money

Maybe the problem isn't that Eldridge is under powered, but the guys in San Francisco are over powered. By the time you reach New Reno you want to make a quick dash for San Francisco just to buy a Gauss rifle or two. So Eldridge's inventory instantly becomes relevant. So would it be better to reduce the availability of the super weapons with the guys in SF, or up their prices x3.

$100,000 for power armor seems fare enough, it might make the need to gamble (that forgotten skill) more necessary.
