Fallout 2 - Rat caves problem...

Hi all,

just started to play this one :7)

I'm in Trapper town, down to rat caves, killed them all, (including Keeng Ra'at ) searched all three levels ( I mean looked in every corner) found Toll on robot all other stuff, unlocked door to other part of Trapper town (got Fuel Cell Regulator), returned, picked all rocks, found dead body, but it had only knife, and where is @#$%ing 10mm Pistol ??? Maybe it's a bug or something?

My version is 1.02...

Thx in advance 4 any help...

But I've noticed myself it's not always there. If there's no corpse north of Keen Ra'at, then it's simply not there.
 
The reason is that the 10mm pistol is in the inventory of a dead body. If you leave the map and return, the body will turn into a pool of blood. When this happens ONLY the WEILDED weapons remain on the ground. Since the pistol is in the inventory, it dissapears.

It's not really bug... Think of it as someone looted the corpse before you did :P
 
Does it? I mean, isn't it under the blood puddle? Items that aren't equipped (money, stims, misc items) don't disappear with bodies of your fallen foes, they remain on the ground, is this case any different?
 
It will be under the blood puddle. The pistol ground pic is one of the few completely "flat" ones that get covered by the blood (this is mentioned tangentially in a note for the Den quest 6 in the guide).

I really left the level once when I was runnin' from Rat King, so probably there was no trapper corpse laying on the floor...
But now I've started Trapper Town from the scratch, because I wanted to have Sulik with me (so I've managed to complete Torr's quest 1st) and b4 going to Rat King I found 10mm gun on trapper's body just in NW cave from king and killed him with 5 shots! Got 300 XP + 220 XP for killing him without a scratch!

I was just wondering: is there actually a bonus for winning a fight without taking any damage or is it just a message, a description like any other? I was always to lazy to compare the experience gained :terminator:
 
El Chupacabra, Where did you get your avatar from? Is if from ingame? If its ingame can I get it as a perk or anything?

Yeah, a backstabber. I think it appears when You "accidentally" finish one (or maybe more??) of Your NPC's in F2. I think It stuck to me,but it may be just my sick imagination. Anyway, I found it somewhere on the internet (possibly the old Interplay site). But I can spare You the searching if You give me Your e-mail address on the private mode.
 
There are some images in the F2 files that weren't used in the game, I think this one's called Betrayer.
 
FO demo, FO, FO2 pics all have backgrounds. It's FOT. And (as usual) per is right as it's labelled "Betray" in FOT.
