I aint gunna sign a rediculous petition like that. "make Falllout 3 properly"??? A statement like that leaves so much ambiguity it is pointless to demand it. Even Chuckles was trying to do FOBOS properly.
Isometric view, turn based combat and even SPECIAL are still only a means to an end. What made Fallout a good game for me was the intriguing setting, the non-linear and multiple approach to the storyline, adn the depth of side plots, subquests and little things to explore.
As far as consoles go. Releasing a game onto console does not garauntee that it will be bad, shallow or anything else. The market is still crying out for a couple of good PC style rpgs on consoles so I think it would be a good move.

If you need to ask what a real fallout fan is...then you have CLEARLY not been in the Fallout scene for long. People that do not cater to the utter bullshit that was Tactics and FOPOS. People that have taken any amount of heat and derision from weekend players accussing us of being meanies and uptights assholes to put it nicely. People that will not take anything less than the enhanced, improved and updated, while true to the classic, F3 that the community deserves. Herve ruined that dream for us...I'll not have my heart broken again. They'll eat vitriol first.
Oh please, Skynet. I've been kicking around the boards for two or three years now so I know what the deal is and what he means by "real fallout fan". It's just such an inane statement. If you are a fan of the games then you are a fallout fan. What is really meant is fallout extremist. That's closer to what we are. It is like the difference between being religious and being a religious extremist.
What scares me is that we might see another hairy deathclaw with thong, a rockin sound track, glow in the dark condoms, vehicles, planes and zepplins. I don't really care about the view or the combat mechanism. I always spend more time talking to NPCs than shooting them, yet nobody is asking for a good conversation interface. Those things are just the facade, I want good foundations. But that aint what the poll is asking for.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers that Tactics had all three of those things.
But whatever, I signed it anyways. If anything they're what made Tactics a good game in its own right despite the numerous universe infringements.

What does anyone have to lose by signing the petition? Holding out for a "better petition" doesn't make much sense either, this is just nailing down the basics and checking to see if the Bethesda developers are really listening to the fanbase.

Fallout Tactics turn based:
- Lacked "sliding" from an excessive hit. This is important for melee characters.
- Had a poorly implimented interrupt system.
- Didn't work with mission scripts that required timers.
- Didn't kick in until after someone took damage, as opposed to Fallout and Fallout 2 where it started when someone went hostile.
- Didn't have hex based play for that tabletop feeling.

Not only does it seem to have come to a full stop, but people are adding me over MSN to insult or mock me, at least three times today. If this continues, I'll either change it or just close it down.
