Fallout 4 DLC revealed

So he went from sucking Bethesda's dick to backpedaling like crazy to backpedaling to the point that the world stopped spinning? Brilliant and the 12 year olds hardcore Bethesda fans he appealed to are now supporting a deal that's "$60 stuff for $50 deal"? That's not a deal, a deal would be like most of the steam games which I got on sale for 75% or more off. That's a deal.
He never really backpedaled on anything. One of his most recent videos is on how New Vegas was flawed despite his "near perfect" assessment of Fallout 4.

Even this new video isn't anything different. But it leaves open the suggestion that maybe the price increase of Fallout 4 season pass is not good for some people. And to say Fallout 4 and Bethesda are ANYTHING LESS than the savior of gaming is unforgivable to such people.

It maybe just me but I always liked Christine. I could care less about any companion or person in Fallout 4, they have no personality. Piper is only useful as a baby maker and Curie as a sexbot if you're into that kind of thing.

He did in one of his videos saying that Fallout 4 wasn't as near perfect of a game as he had initially thought. So he's still acting like a paid shill for Bethesda then? That's just sad.

Guilty :-) but in the incredibly lousy spanish voice acting she is actually nice to have around.*Curie, Piper is still abandon fodder.

And yeah, Christine is love, Christine is life :-D. Gameplay and story wise. The not-blowing-up yourself perk is a ragequit repellant.

The artwork... it's just so... ugh. Like 50s camp as drawn by far-future alien 50s "earth history fanbois" who have only ever seen Roger Rabbit.

No reallly, I like camp. I understand that they feel the need to do something new. It's just bad.

So, of cousre that means it fits with the whole Fallout 4 thing, they've confused "campy" for "goofy". I can barely stand to look at letsplay videos even, because the general tone is just so "saturday morning cartoon second-string animators" goofy.

I personally think those art posters for the DLC sure look great. I just wish the people who made the actual game were half as talented as their art department.

Much of the wasted potential lies in the fact that Fallout 4 is aesthetically great while the actual game plays like an MMO grindfest for people who aren't even into video games to begin with or believe the FPS is the only genre.

Bethesda's art team did an amazing job with the game's aesthetic only to have it squandered by terrible game design decisions such as a F***ing dialogue wheel in a Fallout game.

To me the posters just look like rip-offs. I am damn sure I've seen those exact poses and shit on actual 50's posters. It's like some autistic kid on DeviantART creating their own sonic character by ripping off the lineart of someone else and just changing up the colour scheme. Some may call it homage. I call it lazy and uncreative.

Come on now, Criticizing the Posters is kind of silly, of course they are based on some other peices.... that's kind of the whole schtick of their marketing... Also using "Autistic" as an insult? What are you 4chan? The Youtube Comment section?

By the way, just the cast from the Old World Blues and DM, with some from Honest Hearts, are losing in amount around 1/5 to vanilla Fo4 and maybe Fo3, but they win at 10/1 in quality and personality. Just compare Christine or even YOUR OWN BRAIN to.... ..... hmmmmmm... Beer Buddy and Curie?

It goes without saying that all of the characters in the New Vegas DLC are vastly superior to almost everything Bethesda has cranked out recently.

EDIT: Christine doesn't even speak most of the time and she's one of my favourite characters. You see that Bethesda, that's called "good storytelling". You should try it sometime when you're not ripping off Lovecraft and Team Fortress 2 Robots.

I actually found Christine especially endearing when she was mute. Having to pass skill checks to figure out some of the more complex things she was trying to communicate was a nice touch. That was some good Avelloning.

It's surprising Bethesda didn't have any Jedi mind tricks or captain obvious skill checks.(Before you say it I already know about the U.S.S magical steampunk flying rocket boat quest).
Actually it's not surprising, I knew Bethesda would continue dumbing down like with Oblivion and Skyrim.

Christine was a mute and it involved skill checks ALL THE TIME! She had no character. The brain was stupid.
On the other hand beer buddy told great jokes and made ice cold beer. Curie is, as someone above posted, best waifu.

In all honesty, I loved just about every single character in the NV DLC, I enjoyed the almost hour long dialogue with the Think Tank because it was funny in an intelligent way. I liked Joshua because I am a sucker for religious references that make sense, not using a single line from the bible for the crux of the main quest.

The people who are going to be memorable in Far Harbor? Hmm maybe another waifu sexbot and an immigrant from Europe who took Atom's call. That immigrant will have next to no background and be there to be there just cuz it's cool.
OH or a kickass ghoul like that one in Point Lookout fighting a brain, that would be cool.

How about that bit where the Brotherhood are like "go convince Doctor Bitchface to do the thing" and Doctor Bitchface is like "ok I'm here but I don't want to do the thing" and you're like "ok but seriously go do the thing" and she's like "nah I hate the thing" and you're like "nah do the thing" and she's like "ok".

Was it an actual skill check though?
I didn't get that far because the game sucks dicks. I can't bring myself to finish the main questline because the combat is dog shit boring and the quests are "Another settlement needs your help guy that I just met but you are now General of the Minutemen".

More of a Dice roll.

Also you can show her a Holotape to complete the quest. She then proceeds to never have another dialogue sequence ever again.
