Fallout 4 enclave idea

First time out of the vault
A new upcoming enclave leader unites all enclave outposts and completely changes the way enclaves does things. For instance he starts recruiting outside the enclave which rapidly increases his numbers. He strikes at the west. The NCR at this point has become so corrupt to the point were its about to collapse. The enclave leader is not as evil as his predecessors but stills wants a pure human race but only cares about the general look of people for instance he only wouldn't like ghouls and super mutants but would believe pure non radiated people are superior in his social class. The NCR has lost all good leadership and is in no condition for a war which makes for possible intense battle between them. Your player would have to choose which faction to join and what would be better for the people. It wouldn't be black and white.

I wouldn't mind seeing former enclave, though. A bit more central than the remnants were in NV. Perhaps a small group that joined the main faction together, or one of the minor ones, and will talk to you about how the Enclave was.

This.

My god, why can't people realize that the enclave is dead? Is it really such a hard thing to grasp?

It is too hard, they tap into the whole secret diabolical government faction that is incredibly popular in modern fiction.

I agree with majority here, I wouldn't like to see Enclave back. Ever.
However, as Dutch Ghost pointed out, Power Armor, and perhaps some other Enclave-fabricated technology wouldn't be bad. But nothing over the top. And, preferably, the acquisition of such items should only be possible during quest(s), or at some point in the story, depending on player's choices (as it was done in New Vegas).
On the other hand, something referring to Enclave could also be satisfying (i.e. some old radio transmission, maybe some references in dialogues with an NPC - the fewer NPCs know, the better).

What aboot Enclave Remnants? Arcade wasn't such a bad guy

As evident in New Vegas, most Enclave Remnants are old people, which, in lack of better phrasing, won't get to live much longer. Those people are quite possibly the last of the Enclave. Even if there are more like them throughout the wastes, they are likely in same, or worse position, and are hardly going to make their past public, even to their own relatives (Arcade, is obviously, an exception to this).
Enclave will, due to lack of any proper documentation and evidence (at least those which are open to public), in less than just a few decades undoubtedly become nothing more than a rumor, or at best, a bad memory.

So its good enclave leader who would only kill severely mutated humans and the corrupted NCR with no good leaders and is in no condition to fight. Thats very biased, and you've listed no reasons for why it wouldn't be black and white, you just said it wouldn't.

Besides the enclave has been destroyed twice, I think its dead.

Technically speaking, there are the remnants of the East Coast Enclave :smug:

But yeah, I'm not too hot on the idea of reusing the Enclave either, simply because I feel like they wouldn't have too much new to add to the storyline. Who knows, though, maybe there are writers more imaginative and competent than me that could think of something! In that case I wouldn't be against it.

What I wouldn't be against either way, I guess, is seeing some remnants of their technology. Would make for fairly easy MacGuffins, and I'm not particularly against those.

This idea sounds... lame. Like choose the Asshole Enclave that is not AS bad as ebfore btu still plan on killing hudnreds or this rapidly decaying version of the NCR that seems liek they wouldn't even survive the war with the Enclave in the first place.
The Enclave should remain, as said before, dead, with some Remnants or reference to their existence but not taking a large role in any future Fallout game.

Oh, yeah, you're right.
But I wouldn't call them remnants. They're still a force to be reckoned with.

I'd carefully watch after my water purifiers if I were you, NYC.

To address some of the comments the story wouldn't be black and white because the leading factions wouldn't be good and you would have to decide whats better for the wasteland. People are misinterpreting what I am talking about when it comes to the NCR. The story would take place around the time when the NCR are at New Vegas. According to the game Fallout New Vegas the NCR has overstretched its boundaries and cannot guard its own territory. The NCR being on similar playing field battle wise against the reformed enclave isn't that far fetched. Also when it comes to the enclave their leader contacted all outpost to become one unified force and then recruited the local populace to help bolster his numbers. I appreciate the comments but please make them more constructive and not just say I don't want the enclave in fallout 4.

Also the NCR while weakened are still a force to be reckoned with. I like the idea of the NCR conscripting troops into the battle field. The NCR would likely still have a number advantage over the enclave because of how long it would take to train an enclave soldier.

Not to mention that the NCR already defeated the Enclave, what is left are the Remnants of the Enclave the NCR destroyed...

People I said the enclave leader gathered all enclave outposts across America and recruited from the local populace. In short their regaining their numbers.

Why woudl anyone want to join the genocidal maniacs in the first place? what could they offer the NCR couldn't in bigger quantities?

Did you not read my storyline idea? The enclave has a new policy regarding who they except, for instance they except everybody except obvious physical mutations such as super mutants and ghouls. Also I said the NCR is corrupt so many people could see how the enclave could bring about a better government while fearing their past. In Fallout New Vegas they open up to the idea that the NCR isn't the good guy but just a power hungry over expanded government.

Power armor made out of tin cans and trash bins! Everyone loves power armor.

Your enclave idea makes no sense. The Enclave is hunted by the Brotherhood of Steel, bounty hunters and NCR elite ranger, pretty much by everyone. And now people should join them, because the NCR has problems? That's extremely strange.
