Pete Hines recently had an interview with OXM where he noted "I think you’ll hear us making considerably more noise this year than we did last year, as a publisher". This has led to a frenzy of speculation. With the Three Dog tease not too long ago, it's probably Fallout 4. Yay.

A Fallout fan made a Fallout monopoly games for his wife. We've seen Fallout monopoly before but I'm pretty sure this is new, and pretty amazing.

And finally, GOG is having a weekend sale on all Interplay titles, 50% off the entire catalog, including Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
 
Fallout 4 announcement soon, it's pretty much a given.

Possibly for next-gen systems, not that much a stretch.

Oh boy, something that implies possibility rather than certainty.
 
I really dig the quality of the FO Monopoly - although I would remake some other game myself, more thoroughly economy based like some railroad game with caravan roads or something like that 8-)
 
That Fallout monopoly is really impressive. Clearly NMA users think the same because we got a gazillion of people sending it to us ahaha. :P

As for an eventual Fallout 4 announcement: difficult to get excited/pessimistic without concrete info for me. I don't agree with Bethesda's interpretation of the setting, but both Fallout 3 and Skyrim had good points, and with Underrail, Wasteland 2, Age of Decadence, Dead State etc. coming out I'll have more than my share of turn-based more-or-less post-apoc adventuring.
 
Pretty sure Fo4 will be announced approx in late summer. I personally do not care about it, though. I know it won't be a deep rpg, because Bethesda just never delivered one ever before. The game will have some fun parts and the enviroment will look good and that's it.
 
Though, we can not expect an quality Fallout game here, turn based combat and all that.

All I really hope for is that they get their shit together and do a good, mature story, with deep and interesting characters.

Neither Fallout 3 nor Skyrim really offer that. Skyrim is a bit better in that part, but still, 99% of the characters in Skyrim have the depth of a white sheet of paper.

And really, I really really hope they will not make such an fucked up ending like they did with Fallout 3 ... they should pay attention to plot holes this time ...

But he did say that they would make more noise "as a publisher." So maybe, just maybe, they're not actually making it, but outsourcing again.

Fallout PROP of the year, fucking gorgeous, and the micro pip-boy? come on, that must have secured daily bj's for at least a 1 yr span.

Personally I am quite looking forward to it, even if I preferred Obsidian to make next Fallout. But I enjoyed exploration and atmosphere of Fallout 3 a lot. And Point Lookout + The Pitt were great too.
 
So maybe Bethesda outsources Fallout 4. That would be cool. But Three Dawg (awooo*BLAM*) being in it? Who could fix the Capital Wasteland?
 
Can developers co create a game? If so that would be the best option in making Fallout 4 I think, for Beth and Obsidian to work together.
Well I don't really care either way, so long as obsidian makes another good rpg in the future.
 
Yeah I mean, if they said "publisher" than i guess it could be referring to a game that they are not actually developing. I would also like to point out that there was supposedly a video on bethesda's youtube page. The video had the number "4" and that was it. The video was only up for a little while before getting taken down. A few websites reported that they saw it, also if you look, there does appear to be an un-viewable video that was removed, and the upload date was the same date that this claim was made.
 
IIRC, Obsidian wasn't paid whatever they were entitled to by Zenimax due to an insufficient Metacritic score. Therefore, I doubt they will cooperate with Bethesda ever again. Or am I missing out something here?
 
Urquart said that Obsidian would be interested in working on Fallout again. But then again, IN ANOTHER EPISODE OF URQUART SAID A THING!

No, they were promised a bonus if they got a certain Metacritic score, which they didn't get in the end. They were not entitled to anything, it was just unfortunate.
