Fallout (and Fallout II) NOOB Questions

A friend of mine told me about these two game and i got SO EXCITED about what he said. Sorry if these are noob questions, but i want to be sure that everything he told me is actually true:

Is it true that there are mini-games? Something like gambling maybe?
And there are branching dialogues?
And the environment changes according to the weather, like npcs go home at night, they close shops etc.?
And people remember you for what you did in the past?
And the world changes according to your actions?
and there are tons of sidequests?
And you can marry npcs?
and you can buy houses?
and you can solve almost every quest in two or more ways?
and you can meet aliens?
and the story is very complex with plot branches and many endings? And you can have companions?

Mini-games? Not really. Unless you count playing craps as a 'mini-game'.

And there are branching dialogues?

And the world changes according to your actions?

Yes to all of these.

And you can marry npcs?

In the second game you can do this, on one occasion. That's about it.

and you can buy houses?

No.

and you can solve almost every quest in two or more ways?

Yes.

and you can meet aliens?

In the second game there are hostile critters that people *say* are aliens. That's it.

and the story is very complex with plot branches and many endings? And you can have companions?

You know, all those things you can find on our site.

If by "weather" you mean "time of day", then, yes.

and you can buy houses?

No, but you can squat in empty ones, or invade one with guns blazing, kill all the inhabitants, and use the edifice to store your precious loot.

Actually, they refer to others as Outworlders.

And you can meet characters with funny names, like Macrae or Salvatore, too!

and you can meet aliens?

there are in FO2 the hostile ones Sander mentioned, but then again, some people say they're vengeful spirits summoned by native americans to punish the white man for destroying the land.

however, on two other instances you can come in contact with 'real' aliens ingame, but they are random encounters while traveling the worldmap (with a high luck requirement). the lil' aliens are dead when you find em though... how sad.

What is the sign of Enclave? (and can i find SAD without getting quest from wright?)

No you cant get to SAD without getting quest from Wright. Even if you go to those coordinates. The sign of the enclave is on the floor in the first room you enter in the Oil Rig.

So i'm stuck in metal armor to Navarro. Ops.... I know about the sign in oilrig on the floor, but i was searching for something like BoS sign in the net. F.e to set as wallpaper. And another, maybe n00b question - where i can find music from the movies with enclave - explosion and this with tanker?

You can extract MVE videos from the game, then convert if to AVi, and then rip the music - but that's a modding issue, and there's a separate forum to discuss that. Search.

You can also see the enclave symbol on the vault city doors - is there some kind of secret consipracy here?

I think the Enclave symbol may be derived from an USA-Fallout-style-government emblem.

I'd say i've played through every location in the game but i can't remember it specifcally.

No i'm quite certain it isn't. However, does it use tiles or walls for the bottom bits - its like this with the vault city entrance - no bottom scenery bits.

It's in Broken Hills, it's the uranium thingy or something... I never really was interested in the stuff that goes on in there...
