Don't know if anyone knows this or if it was already posted but someone made a patch for Fallout 1 that should make the game run better on Windows 10. The mod Arthur goes into more detail on the Fallout sub reddit.

He seems to be having some very specific issues.
PS: The Win10 alt+tab issue is circumvented with just switching to a different graphic mode (Dx9) in the ddraw.ini file.
PPS: Keep in mind that using this patch means that the Sfall stuff doesn't work anymore (it's basically a different ddraw.dll). Guess for Fo1 it doesn't really matter all that much, though Crafty's version adds some nice features.

Invite the author of that patch to share their source code so that DX10/12 can be implemented in sfall.

having no issues myself with win10. sticking to the patches we have going here.
Yeah so i duid just that, however my rookie account on reddit has no likes and it seemes my post got vanished under tons of other posts with more likes. although i mentioned the Guy with "@", also mentioned the sfall project in TL
R, and said You're interested with his stuff. That's about it, the fishing lure is on, and the bait has been thrown, now we'll have to sit down, realx, open up a six-pack, and wait for the picking. so to speak....
