FaME being infamously pain in the rear...

First time out of the vault
Umh, not too sure if this is where I need to go to post this, but... Yeah... >_>

Anyways, I was planning on using the H&K Total Conversion mod for Fallout 2, and it says I need to download and run FaME. So, I search for FaME on NMA, find it, download it, and extract it to C:\fame.

Then, I go to click on the fame.exe icon, and it gives me back an illegal operation error dialog. I restart my computer, to see if that helps any. No dice.

Finally, I re-extract FaME to my Fallout 2 directory, and yet FaME still doesn't want to run.

If this helps any, I'm running Win98Se, on an older (Pentium 2) computer with 63 Mb of RAMs (Don't make fun of my RAM, or they'll never find your body. >_< )

There's a patch for Fame, download that as well. You'll also need to create a new folder called patches and stick the patch0000 and any custom mods in there.

If you still have problems there's another program called mod loader (or some such).

Yes Modrunner and it is much better than FAME(conflict handling in FAME is very bad).
