Playable Ghouls

neat little mod that lets all you necrophiles play it as you always wanted it! Who says being a hero/tyrant of the wastst was a right reserved for the strong white gorgeous crowd?

Racial stats:
-2 STR
-2 CHA
+2 END

Resistant to most chems, including alcohol. The effect of chems lasts only 1/4th as long as normal, but the chance of addiction is only 1/10th of normal. The only exceptions to the above are Rocket and Ultrajet.

Radiation levels in a Ghoul's body decrease (or more accurately, the level which is considered "normal" moves up) over time, at a rate of 1 Rad/ 10s.

Radiation Poisoning has positive as well as negative effects on Ghouls:

Minor - +1 END, +2 HP/s, -1 Rad/s
Advanced - +2 END, -1 INT, +4 HP/s, -2 Rad/s
Critical - +3 END, -2 INT, -1 STR, +6 HP/s, -4 Rad/s
Deadly - +4 END, -3 INT, -2 STR, +8 HP/s, -6 Rad/s
Fatal - +4 END, -3 INT, -2 STR, +8 HP/s, -30 Rad/s

Ghouls do not die from Fatal Rad Poisoning.

Finally, Ghouls have access to a Ghoul-only Perk: Feral Affinity. This perk ensures Feral Ghouls will not attack the Courier unless the Courier attacks first.

And something to get rid of that eye-ore we all know and hate.

PipBoy 2500

Nuff' said

ITHe mods I liked the most were the restoration mods of primm and the strip it made the game feel larger and more cinematic in my oppinion

Pipboy 2500 is great.

JSawyer and CCO are both great rebalances; Two great tastes that taste great together.

Lombard Station. Great player home. Small, neatly designed, and fits well lore wise and has a nice bit of lore in it.
Gtab's Improved Ammo Master: Not plugging this cause I've worked on it a bunch. Nope, no sir. Seriously, use this.
TG's Armor pack, if you want some tacticlol and not-so tacticlol armors
Millenia's series of standalone guns is pretty rad. There's a krink, a mare's leg, a mateba, and a bunch of other things. No single package as of right now, but they're all floating around out there.
Pipboy 2500 - Not sure if this is the right name, but it replaces the pipboy 3000 with a handheld version reminiscent of the old one from Fallout 1/2.
WMX is my preferred weapon mod overhaul, and I'm a fan of the Director's Chair suite, along with DarnUI and oHud for my HUD/pretty visual tweaking needs.
Manual Reload is a little thing that doesn't cause your guns to automatically reload when you fire on an empty chamber AND keeps track of what guns have how many bullets in them so you can't get free reloads by switching guns.
Select Fire gives basically every gun a fire selector and allows you to tweak, to some extent, each of them in it's MCM menu.

http://www.mediafire.com/?rsu8ppn1eyszqhj

This is where you can get my ammo master described above. Adds better/more recipes for every ammo, adds new ammos, and adds massive scale recipes for manufacture and breakdown of every recipe. allows for batches from 100-10,000 instead of just 1-100.

I run with jsawyer mod which you can get at his blog here, http://twofoldsilence.diogenes-lamp.info/ and I run Mission Mojave Ultimate Edition , which is a huge bug fix patch...from what I have seen it doesn't really change any quets or such what though there are some minor appearnce changes made to various characters(nothing major, all vanilla assets) you can get it here http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45104

Apart from that I don't use much else.

My experience with pip boy replacers has been poor, I know a lot of people really like them but I found they make my game crash like it was going out of style.

Pipboy 2500 is solid. Never crashed for me before.
Enhance Blood Textures is great too.
EVE is amazing for those who like to use Energy weapons.
Project Nevada is probably the best overhaul available.

Missions Mojave caused me more problems than good when I used it for awhile and figured out what it changed. It broke several quests and added a bunch of glitches. It is a good mod but I am going to wait until they finish it now. They change some things that imo don't need to be changed.

Hmm..I'll just copy from the other thread.

Some of these have been mentioned already. Oh well.

Sawyers mod. Must have.

NVinteriors adds so much it would be a crime not to use it. I always wanted to explore those train cars and some of those boarded up building. Now you can!

DFB Random Encounters adds a few spawn points with enemies of your choosing. Enclave is off by default thank God. It's one of those mods that is essential for me, simply because I know where every single enemy is in the vanilla game, and it gets boring after awhile without some variety.

Try Performance of the Gods if your computer is real crappy. It will speed things up. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45475

Darnified UI is a must, to get rid of those ugly ass fonts. Mtui is a nice alternative.

Pipboy 2500 is the perfect mix of nostalgia and improvements. Lots of skins for the readius mods too.

Centered 3rd person camera does just what it says. You can even zoom out and almost trick yourself into believing it is Fallout 2...almost.

Weapon Mods Expanded allows you to mod unique weapons, adds a few mods, and works quite well with Project Nevada. It never leaves my load order.

Personally, I like making my raider chicks look like wasteland sluts with genitalia piercings, titties hanging out, and other such perversions. For instance, it bothered me in Gomorrah how the whores didn't dress like whores. I fixed that. Just a minor thing that bugged me.

Bottle that Water mod is great too. It does what it says.

KDE Portable Camp Stuff is worth checking out too. It's hard to describe, but you can basically drop various things such as stairs, beds, walls, campfires, reloading benches, to make your own campsite or home. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46195

I always use a backpack mod too because, well, it makes sense in the wasteland to have something to carry your shit in. Shit needs to be carried people. It doesn't magically disappear. Stupid game designers j/k...

Tfh Rugged Race. Make your men look like MEN. I just started a playthrough with this, and I will NEVER play without it again. You want to look like Clint Eastwood? Now you can. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/48629

Fake fullscreen. Improves stability. Now you can alt tab without crashing. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41381

4gbextender. Use it. Love it. You need it. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35262

Casino heist. Adds lots of caps to the casinos since they didn't have any for you to rob. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41847

Arwens realism tweaks is one of those acquired tastes. It makes so many changes to the game, it's like a whole new game at times. You have to have a knife to skin stuff, you must worry about bacteria infections, strain from carrying too much gear (or you will pass out), and if one of your limbs gets crippled you can't use two handed weapons at all. So many changes that I can't list them all. Just read it to see if you want it. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34759

The script extender is required by a number of mods. In the description info they will let you know. Watch these tutorials. I can help you if you need it too. Installing mods for New Vegas can be frustrating for beginners, but once you learn the ropes, it's actually pretty simple. Sometimes it depends on the mod, but usually, with Nexus Mod Manager, you don't have to do much of anything besides click a few buttons. The script extender isn't always required, it just depends on what mods you want to use. Project Nevada? You need it. 4g extender? Need it. CASM (save manager)? Need it. Basically, the most popular mods need it.

It's not a bad thing to install at any rate. Drag some files into the New Vegas folder. Done.

I'm currently running these mods. Edit: Now I've added a bunch more but this load order was very stable..

Oh I removed IWS though. Way too unstable. My only complaint with NMM is that I had to manually type that list. I added AWOP, Monster mod version 10, and associated patches. Pretty stable so far, 40+ hours in. I just can't get enough of this game. Playing vanilla is out of the question for me though. I've played vanilla waaaay too many times, in depth, all quest variations, all weapons, all endings, just nothing new to do that way. It would be like playing Fallout 2 without the restoration patch. Near heresy round these parts.

AWOP does have some fairly stupid shit in it, but the level design trumps that stuff. I made a mod to fix some of the annoying stuff.

You need AWOP of course, and I advise you to download the low loot and low npc patches as well.

I chose mission mojave over project nevada because it seems to have less overall game changing stuff.

If you want some wasteland slut stuff there's tons of that. Just search type 3, get the body replacer and clothes of your choice;)

Oh I know. I already use it. Might not have stated that in the copy paste job I did, but I use BoW, and Type 3 and Type 6 armors. Mission Mojave is mainly a bug fix mod though. Project Nevada is a overhaul.

What's broken in MM? I haven't experienced any issues with it yet. I picked it specifically over NVEC because I do not want the overhauls, just the bug fixes.

PN is pretty rad and also modular. The Core has a series of features you can disbale/change/tweak in-game courtesy of it's own ilittle integrated version of MCM.

The other modules are all pretty nice. Equipment adds a bunch of useful things like backpacks and a variety of old FO1/2 guns that were excluded from NV. Rebalance is very nice since you can customize and tweak your rebalance options in game. Cybernetics expands on implants and makes them a bit more interesting, although it seems a bit much as to the couriers being able to upgrade and modify them with sufficient science and repair. The neat thing is you're limited as that you only have so many slots for implants and some implants can only go in certain slots.

Do you guys know any good mods to make the ai think more tactically? I'm playing with Sawyer's mod and few other “realism” mods, so fire fights are very tense, but the ai still stupidly rushes me and my companion.

How Jsawyer works with Nevada?
It still allows you to change your carry weight to your standards using Nevada options etc.?
Edit: Nvm.

Also, which mod is Zombie Serenade? I can't find it.

For adventures, I run with New Vegas Bounties one and two. They never cease to amuse me.
If weapons are needed, I go with AG supplementary uniques (most underrated mod on the Nexus) and Classic Fallout Weapons.
For armor, I go with Dragbody's armour packs, or individual mods, like Mikael Grizzly's Expanded Ranger Armors.
For clothing, I suggest Spice of Life, by Nivea. Adds tons of clothing and only slightly breaks lore.
For immersion, I run with Drugs are Bad, M'kay, Nights Are Darker, Real Smokes, 31 New Foods, and a ton of others.
For crafting, I use Tactical Crafting, Mad Science, and Homemade Grenades.
I also run Monster Mod: Wasteland Edition, and sometimes AWOP.
