Frame rate = world speed?

No, that appears to be the truth. I guess when Bethesda read "We want the good old days back" they thought we meant "shitty DOS engine programming".
Happens surprisingly often these days, btw., the last Need For Speed was also locked to 30fps and fucked up if unlocked.

But wasn't it the same for Oblivion/F3/NV and Skyrim? I vaguely remember reading about it somewhere...

Why ... would ANYONE lock the speed of the game to the FPS :wtf:, I mean in this day and age? What is the advantage of it ... Is there like a real reason for it? I am seriously curious.

With Bethesda's engine it's probably something related to how ass backwards it is or more likely how incompetent they truly are.

No, I had to account for deltaTime in the hoverboard mod. The Oblivion-era games have a fixed update interval. Skyrim's physics engine is however uncapped in FPS although the game is not, which explains why some objects are easily sent flying on fast computers.

Hoooooooly shit this is bad.
