Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
Im finishing up Tyranny and im going to have some extra time from now till the winter sale/Torment/Routine and was thinking of games to kill time in between. I could always re play stuff but new things are always nice :D

I have been looking at the steam store and PSN (PS4) every now and again to see if anything peaks my interest. Any personal recommendations from you guys?

Fallout 4 is a pretty fun game.

Civ 6 is fun. It's Civ 5 + BNW. AI is a little retarded but the recent patch made it better. Enjoying it a lot.

If you can get the game to run on your computer. I'd recommend Star Wars Dark Forces 2. Definitely a fun game. Also I'd recommend TES IV OBLIVION.

RPGs

I highly recommend Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura great rpg.

The latest shadowrun games are pretty good not great but good.

Gothic 1/2.

Age of decadence, it's simply a awesome rpg with tons of c&c.

Non RPGs.
Killer 7(only if you like crazy batshit insanity)

Lollipop chainsaw, it's a fun campy little game about a busty cheerleader killing zombies with a giant chainsaw nuff said.

Mafia 2. A great story based game that doesn't focus on filling the open world with meaningless side shit, but instead choice's to use the open world as a backdrop for the story. It also has absolutely stellar atmosphere, and a great soundtrack.

Soma. A pretty good atmospheric game with a sc-fi interesting premise.

I'd suggest both Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2, if you can into FPP dungeon crawlers with square-grid movement inspired by Dungeon Master. Sucked me in alright!

I suggest Morrowind, it's definitely the best Elder Scrolls game

Soldiers of Anarchy
The Fall: Last Days of Gaia
Allods/Rage of Mages
Mafia 1 & 2
Arx Fatalis
Doom 2016 (why the hell not?)

These are good for variety and breaking the Planescape/Vampire/Morrowind circle.

Have you played Earthbound for the SNES? Vagrant Story for the PS1/PSP? Shadowrun for the SNES or the newest ones Returns, Dragonfall, and Hong Kong?

System Shock 1 is a favorite of mine along with the first 3 Warcraft games, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Lords of Magic. Resident Evil Remake and Silent Hill 2 are worth checking out, especially with RE 0 getting a HD version recently too.

Civilization 5 and Sins of a Solar Empire with the Star Trek Armada mod too. Maybe give Brutal Doom 64 a try if you are into that. The newest Pokemon is supposed to be good.

Thanks for the reply's guys :D

I have been indeed looking into Mafia 2/3, SOMA, Silent Hill 2 and a few others.

Keep them coming if you can.

I have some more suggestions here.

If you're a fan of Strategy games I'd recommend Age of Empires II, Homeworld , StarCraft 2 (or 1 if your more of the old school type), Command and Conquer Generals w/ its expansion Zero Hour, and WarCraft III

RPGS: Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, Path of Exile, DOOM the Roguelike, TES III:Morrowind (Been playing that lately, definitely a fun time).

FPS/TPS/Shooters: Cry of Fear, Brutal DOOM Starter Pack, Brutal DOOM 64 (like what @TorontRayne mentioned above), Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, HeXen: Beyond Heretic, Strife: Quest for the Sigil, Final DOOM: Evilution, Final DOOM: The Plutonia Experiment. Battlefield 2: Project Reality, PAYDAY 2, Halo Custom Edition (it is on PC), Halo 2 (yes its on PC also), Warframe, Overwatch, Command and Conquer: Renegade X, and Call of Duty: World At War (my personal favorite CoD).

Others: Crusader: No Remorse, Unturned, Garry's Mod, Star Bound, Hearthstone, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Portal 2, Amnesia: the Dark Descent.

SOMA is good stuff, it may not be as spooky as the competition but it's very good in the other aspects.

The Long Dark is the bestest "true "survival game i have played, meaning that absurd crafting and building is replaced by immersive needs and a cruel world map that WILL kill you.

Starbound, especially if you have a friend to play it with, is very fun too, there are a lot of modsa avaleible too to fix gripes and stuff, although this applies to Terraria too :P

You could try the DUST mod for New Vegas if you haven't already. There's FROST for Fo4 already, but it's barely in 0.2
About overhauls, Enderal for Skyrim was very good too if you can ignore the shitty engine that drags on noticeably.

Pillars of Eternity.

If you are a dialogue junkie like me, this game is brilliant.

Also if you get pillars: Get both of The White March expansion packs. I am not exaggurating when I say that it is the best piece of DLC for any game ever made. Everything about it from the characters, to the encounters, to the quests, to the scripted interactions is handled flawlessly.

I have 62 hours in it, its really good :-D

To emphasize it: PLANESCAPE: TORMENT

I actually own it on GOG, played through half way but got caught up in other things and never finished it. Ended up youtubing the ending :P

Its really well written and the story/characters/world are great but the RPG mechanics left a lot to be desired for me and the combat triggered me.
