Gamma problem!

Hi everyone, Iv'e got this gamma problem in FO and 2, its all dark wich makes it very hard to make/view maps or even play the game. Is there any gamma correction programs for ingame gamma? My desktop and all the other games Iv'e played are working fine.

Use The Fallout 1 or 2 Character Editer and use the night vision perk like crazy it worked for me. Because I ran into the same problem as you with the gamma so i used the night vision perk.

My first post if anyones wondering and think god for NMA now i can be with people just like me when it comes to Fallout.

Are you saying that '+' and '-' -buttons aren't working (press F1 for more help)? There are also brightness in config files (fallout2.cfg and mapper2.cfg).

If those really don't work, program called PowerStrip might...

If this problem started shortly after trying IanOut Beta 3, then I suggest you reinstall your video card drivers.

Anyway, have a read of these messages posted in the IanOut Forum.

I have the same problem, and worse it seems FI.dll has corrupted my machine in such a way I get a black screen everytime I tried loading other games like Jagged Alliance 2; I tried running the Direct X dialog and I got the black screen when running the Direct 3d test as well as the direct draw test (bouncing cube) in full screen, I'll try reloading Direct X later to see if that fixes the problem.

Ok, I fixed the problem and found it was not Direct X but my video card driver which was corrupt (I only have a shitty S3 Trio 3D/2X), once I reloaded the driver I got rid of the black screen.

Na, Iv'e formatted my drive since I used IO.
Thx for the help all, its appriciated :)

I tried the .cfg file in Fallout and found the brightness thingy and turned it up, still no changes, as for the +/- buttons they are at max.

Powerstrip works perfectly :D
I can now see everything in the game, gammas solved!

Thank you Platon
